Ive made a thread because I have to make the decision quite fast and I dont know the prices on ladder:
basically 892 def ornate -30 with some useless mods (orange colour I think)
+ few crappy adds (their side)
vs
ladder soj (my side)
is it worth it?

If you are the one offering the soj do not buy into his talk. For your soj you can get much better.

I was thinking of switching to ladder and my brother got quite well with MFing, and the stingy bastard could get me a ladder soj (I will have to work on him however). As I was leveling my first ladder sorc I met a guy who can trade that ornate + few semi useful adds for a soj.
If it's not worth it, then what could I get? I was thinking of starting ladder and making an barb in such an ornate.. as I never found a similar on NL anyway.

Most people do not consider any ornate worth a SoJ, let alone a ladder SoJ relatively early on in the season.

Yeah, useless imo. Save it and get something better. Soj's are still rare and quite pricey on the west ladder. I have found one so far in a solo cs and socket'd a nice shield so I wouldn't go on a shopping spree and waste it on something useless

I guess barb gear is a bit low on value these days.. Friend found 98 def 8 dex 3x cold 3x light res 30/10 war boots.. I was like "yeah would be nice if I wouldn't have to use goblin toes" if those had been some regular boots with low str req.. for a sorc or pala they would have been really valuable.
Another friend traded 305 lance for some ****.. lances are very low value these days also.. :(
Well anyways if that armor had some other nice mods like resist and life it could be worth a soj, depending how much you want it :) If you have some special build that need -30% then why not .)
Defenetly no go Fledgeling. That ornate with def and -30 req is close to charsi, if the other mods are really useless. If i had to price it i would say 1 to 2 gulls. Thought personally would not pay even that :)
Anyway, its your soj and your call, but there are better ones around for sure.

As what comes for the bvb king its pretty hard to say. So much depends on gear...
Anyway, would say that for legit bvb duels Its either *spiralsxpk or *legend
has ruled the scenery pretty much.
Edit: Legi is just building his bvb so not sure how good it is atmo. Still skill is defenetly there. Hmmz i think he snatched nice 178 dmg Bh with som e str on it IIRC. But still lacks grim helm wargloves and warbelt...

Sorry mate but I fell asleep in front on the computer last night and when I woke up I decided it was time to hit the bed :)
About legi/legend yes he is very nice. However, I managed to beat him a few times with my last ladder bvb but usually lost with a score of like 2-3 or so. Pretty close call cosidering he had the best gear possible. I even sold him my pavise cause he ended up paying a huge amount for it and I liked my red style too much.

Your bvb gear was pretty amazing also... Its very gear dependant so hard to say whos best. Certainly not this ST guy who is trying to 'wring' soj from fledge ^^

Well i have been off from dueling too. Only Mfing a bit.
Couple of sojs and that amazing lance that i had to sell to gain some wealth on ladder. Hate being poor :)
To tell you the truth i really got too little time to play for my needs. Usually i equip bvb, speeder orber and bow zon. Now i can barely finish my bvb (havent found deacent weapon yet and Legi took the only worthy Bh i have seen and all the execs are full req...)
Main char (Hammerdin) 89 just few millions shy from 90. Have only made mules to hold gear, 47 lv bo barb and 61 lv tele slave... No time no time :(
