View Full Version : Breaking Cold Immunes

Just a quick little question, is it at all possible? My level 81 lightning sorceress pretty much owns everything in the game, nothing is too difficult without any light immunes, granted they're are a few that cannot be broken but for the most part you don't see any and it's wonderful. From what I see when looking at my infinity what breaks the immunes is the -% res on enemies and the aura he casts. Is this even remotely possible with cold immunes if you get your cold mastery to around level 40? (Keep In Mind Gear Getting The Proper Gear is Not an issue for me) Use Cold facets, and infinity. Is this even possible? Just wondering because the cold tree has always been my favorite and it's quite annoying being able to destroy everything in the game with 50k lightning. But run into cold immunes with a cold sorceress. Some might think this is a silly question but I could not find any information on this.

Thanks.

Only Lower resist/Conviction can break immunities. And most cold immunes got way over 120+ cold res which means that infinity won't break 'em.

That's terrible, why in the world would they give lightning sorceresses that advantage. Darn I was really hoping to be able to do it with a cold sorceress seeings how I've never actually tried to break the cold immunes before.

He's right. The only immune that can be broken is light (FOR THE WIN.) because conv puts the light res on the monsters down, but then infinity also has the -40-55 enemy light res. No cold weapon can do this, except MAYBE if a barb used dual dooms and had a pally using conv. I can't confirm this though.
