Seeking info/help for MF bowazon

Hey all.

SP here. Im currently building a bowazon purely with the intention of running The pits for gear. Im a collector and I have done countless runs in the past with my Hammerdin, having aquired two windforces and other goodies running Pit/Baal/Pindle etc etc.

I have asked around in the SP forum and thought Id pop in here as well to get second oppinions. Im interested in the best possible setup for a bowazon pitrunner regarding gear, (mainly bows), skillpoint placements and stat point distribution. I appologize in advance, but my knowledge regarding Zons is quite limited.

Ive searched this forum and ransacked it for threads and guides, a lot of info here and its a bit confusing to me. A lot of IAS info, and Im afraid my math isnt the strongest :)

I hear people talking about Faith being the best bow in the game. I currently dont have a GMB with 4 sockets and Im missing the Jah rune, but it might be a possibility to trade for those in the SP market. Would that be the the best endgame bow for a pitrunner, or will the Windforce be the better choice for PvM?

Im simply interested in the fastest pitrunner possible, (trying to complete my grail).

Well, let me just say that i just made one and compared to a javazone, its very slow. In my opinion a javazone is the best cookie cutter in the game. I ran countless baal runs with it and its great. So if you want an amazone, then, in my opinion, make a javazone.

I used to run the pits with a bowazon using Witchwild String. While it may be a little slower than a javazon, it is still fun. A bowazon wielding Faith will be much better. Make the zon you want and get to the pits!

Those LI in Pit were too annoying for my LF Javazon - I would say Strafer moves at constant speed, while Javazon is speeding faster, but there are unpleasant pauses - though if you have access to Infinity (IMO absolutely impossible in legit SP) it would be definitely faster.

Though that could also be just my preference, but I just like playing as a Strafer in Pit more :-)

I agree that the WWS strafer works better for pit running than Furyzon.

I can say this because I just started playing again, SP, made a furyzon, got stuck on act2 hell...
Remade strafer with WWS I found with furyzon, still stuck on Act2 hell... (the bow is up'd of course)
(both zon's are level 75)

So I decided to level up a bit before proceeding further, which means pit runs.
I tried several runs with each zon, and I can say definitively that:
Pits are MUCH easier with my strafer.
NM cows/meph/baal/Pindle are MUCH easier with Furyzon.

So if you're shooting for the pits specifically, strafe is the way to go.
