After some year's without Diablo 2 i'm feeling some intresst for it again.
But to start all over isen't that easy.
So i just got one question :
I whant a character that can play well without good items so i can find good items for my other char's and also this.
I thought of a Sorc first but i know that it will be hard when i need a lot of Fcr to teleport without getting killed.
I also think of a Paladin (Hammer), but i would be glad to here what you guy's have to say first before i make a new char.
Thanks / R.
Sorc can play well with little gear, esp MeteOrb. Fishymancer can solo the entire game virtually naked.

It's easy to get fcr. The Stealth runeword (for armor) adds 25% (and 25% fhr which is important for safe teleporting as well) and you just need Tal+Eth for it. Amulets and rings can have 10% fcr and they can drop very early in the game, which will bring you to 55% already. Now you just need another 7% for reaching the 62% breakpoint which is enough for teleporting through most areas more or less safely, something which you can achieve with a caster belt (crafted item). A sword with the Spirit runeword will give you at least 25% fcr (or up to 35%) and it has a level req of 25 when used on a normal sword, so a 27% roll, Stealth and a single ring or ammy would be enough for 62%. You can find all the runes at the Countess in nightmare while the runes for Stealth just need visits to her in normal mode. I spent about two hours with Countess runs to get these runes and I had a lot of bad luck, so it should normally go faster.
Check the runeword and crafted items section of Arreat Summit, the link is in my sig.

Thanks Are and krischan for your answer's.
It's hard to decide what to do, but maybe a sorc would be nice anyway when it can Teleport (Without expensive gear) and i can do kill's faster then.
But the Fishymancer sound's like a good choise to, have never made or played a Fishymancer so it would be nice to test for fun.
If you got any other tip, character or what so ever i'm glad to hear them to make my choise.
Thanks / R
