I've tried the search menu, but cant find anything specific for this.
How does deadly strike work with vengeance?
Deadly strike deals double damage as far as i'm aware. With vengeance, will it be double the physical damage? or double my total damage?
Thanks in advance
Vengeance is based entirely on the weapon damage alone - It does not benefit from any off-weapon ED%, including that from skills. Deadly strike only doubles the physical damage.

From Asmo's avenger guide (in the paladin forum stickies)
This means, that only certain things that add to your physical damage, will also count towards Vengeance elemental damage. These are;
- Enhanced or min/max damage from socketing in the weapon.
- Min/max damage from socketing in off weapon equipment.
- Min/max damage from items or charms.
- Weapon and item added damage that reads "adds xx damage" such as Butchers pupil, War traveller boots and Blood Fist gloves.
What doesn't count towards Vengeance elemental damage;
- Auras enhanced damage such as Might or Fanatism.
- Weapon added damage that reads "damage + xx" such as Grief rune word and The Redeemer. This has been tested in game to not work.
- Factors such as Deadly Strike, Open Wounds or Crushing Blow.
- Strength. Vengeance works from weapon damage only.
- Off weapon enhanced damage such as socketed jewels or Lion Heart, Fortitude or Duress rune words.
Well worth a read if you're planning an avenger
Vengeance still does the same physical damage as if you have attacked by normal attack (+added elemental damage). So deadly strike is used for that physical damage portion. Not really worth it for Avenger though.
You would not leech with Vengeance if it hasn't physical part.

Thanks for the replies, Very useful :)
I guess i'll head more towards Zeal than Vengeance.
While i'm on the Statistics thread, maybe someone could answer some other questions?
If i used Infinity on my pala, teamed with Holy shock aura from skill, plus holy fire aura from item, would i do an insane amount of damage?
And i heard that if i have lvl 21 conviction aura, uber mephs conviction aura wont affect me. is that true?
Thanks
Better use dreams and run conviction yourself in that case.
