I decided to do some Hell Meph runs. First run a Titan's dropped. Next run, Andy's Visage and the IK Helm. Third run dropped a Sandstorm Trek and... Mephisto's Soulstone. Yeah, forgot to check the quest log. Next 10 runs produced literally nothing useful. Now I'm wondering what on earth I should do with this Blizz only sorc. Any ideas?

Just level it, get some magic find, and keep on trucking.

I did the same, and while it might seem bleak at first, you still get plenty good drops. Don't let 10 runs make you sour, you'd have to run a lot of times just to actually get a real statistical difference.

Use her as a drink cooler? The luck sometimes leaves. To bad you unbugged your Mephruns 8(

Wait you get bad Meph runs if you finish the quest? How else are you supposed to run meph without beating the quest?

You join games where the final quest in a3 has already been completed, thus you cannot complete that quest in that particular game. The requirement for getting the quest drop is that the killing member has to have not yet completed that 6th quest.

Just level it, get some magic find, and keep on trucking.

Well technically, I noticed the difference in the 3rd run when arrows dropped instead of something yellow.

So you're saying that you run meph in games made by people who already completed the quest so that you can't get it? How are you supposed to level up without having completed the Meph quest since you can't go to act 4 without beating the quest?

You don't go to Act4. At this point the level of the char is high enough to beat Hell Meph easily, especially if its a Blizzard sorceress. The whole purpose of that build is to MF Hell Mephisto for items, nothing else. There is no need to advance into Act4.

Damn, so it really makes that big of a difference? Because I just leveled my sorc all the way to 88 :-/ Didn't know about the bug thing. Does the same go for any other quests? How high lvl do you have to be to kill hell meph approximately?

Well you can do the same for Diablo and Baal no doubt. Mephisto makes the most sense since his drops and amounts of drops is just better than the rest.

I once did 52 nith runs and got no keys, but I still did more. Don't worry about 10 little runs, who knows, maybe your next run will net you arach's, soj, mara's.

Meph also makes more sense because you can go straight to him without having to fight any minions or open up any seals. Plus you can kill him as a Sorceress without threat of dying. I cannot solo Diablo or Baal because I'm a one trick pony. It would be pretty difficult to try and kill D with every single Bliv Knight still alive and cursing :nod:
