Tal Rasha Set for Mf-sorcies:any good?

The idea here is to help me decide between aiming for tal rasha or the usual stuff.

This is my first char so you can't compare it to an ist occy (or 2ist blade of ali baba or 4ist monarch).

I am generally comparing:

Occy(gull)+Skulder+Tarnhelm(maybe shaKo)+Rare Mf amu(something with 30-40 mf maybe 1 to sorc skills or 1-2 to cold) and goldwrap belt against Tal Rasha.

I mainly want to make a sorc (blizz) able to mf at meph,pindle,act 2 ancient tunnels etc.

So what do you think?

I recommend a p topazed tals armor,belt, and amulet. 3 pieces give you a 65%mf bonus and 10-15% from the belt and 100%+ from the armor.

Here in lies the problem, while Occy and Skullders looks expensive it's actually not as expensive as full tals.

Normally I would say go full Tals, but this ladder I didn't. I picked up an occy, skulds etc and I'm doing fine. So it can be done for cheaper.

However, the optimum setup would be as Mike said. Tals Armor, Ammy and Belt, in conjunction with other MF pieces.

Both setups have their merit. Full Tal´s offers some more mana and life and ofcourse the add +x% damage on the fire/cold skill tree. There is an old thread about here, that discusses the full potential of both setups, with bias towards Tal´s.

I read through the thread starters post and what he seems to forget is the extra mf you get from shako+occy .

So my conclusion here is 3tal armor pieces>>>skulder+goldwrap+amu but also a lot more expensive.

Full tar armor is only worth if you don't have tarnhelm(shako) + occy.

full tals is just gfg for a pvm 'sork.

Still the amount of MF is less important than your killing speed/power. In that way Tal's is superior since it grants more life mana and damage reduction.

But apart from arguments and opinions i would say, to each his/her playstyle.
