4os monarch from larzuk socket quest

Hi... I'm a lvl 80ish blizz sorc and I'm trying to find a 4os monarch to put spirit in. I mostly run hell meph and ancient tunnels.

My question is really this: If I get a regular white monarch to drop in ancient tunnels, what are the chances that it will get 4 sockets if I use larzuk's quest on it? And I'm not worried about saving the quest for something better... rushing a lvl 1 on my friends account to it in normal takes like 5 minutes

Also, if a monarch drops for me that has say 1 or 2 sockets, is there any way to reroll the sockets with a cube recipe or to convert it with the cube to a regular white item that I can then use in larzuk's quest? I looked at the recipe listing but it wasn't clear if they would work on items that already have sockets... like for example the tal + amn + pruby recipe... will it only work on items that dont have any sockets to start?

The chances are 100% if it's found from hell ancients tunnels. Although I think it gets 4os no matter where you found it.

And you can't reroll sockets.

Unless it was low quality/cracked and fixed in the cube. Ilvl gets set to 1 with that recipe, and it would only get 3 sockets from Larzuk.

If you find a white monarch and use socket quest, it will give you 4os.
