I'm planning to become invincible, but in which order is all the reduction factored? I've heard it was first energy shield, then weaken/decreptify, then percentual damage reduction, then pdr/mdr, then resists. Is that true? Does percentual damage reduction help much?

1) XvX penalty (for example Player vs. Player = -5/6)
2) Sorceress Energy Shield
3) Necromancer Bone Armor and/or Druid Cyclone Armor
4) Integer DR/MDR
5) Percentage resists (including DR%)
6) Percentage absorb
7) Integer absorb

Hehe, that cracked me up.

Anyway, percentual damage reduction is good if you dont have any integer DR. The more you have integer DR, the less usefull will %DR be.

For example, you take 100 damage.

You got 50%DR and 80 integer DR.

After integer DR is calculated, its 20 damage.

So your 50%DR is only saving 10 points of damage, whereas if you hadnt have any integer DR, then %DR would have saved 50 points worth of damage.

You can also say that because of the %DR, the PDR only negated 40 extra damage.

It's good to have both. Some combinations of boss mods puts monster damage far above 100 and it is simply not feasible to get that much PDR. PDR is best at completely negating lower amounts of damage and %DR is best at taking of large chunks out of high amounts of damage. If you want to be invincible you need to have both.

Where does weakness/decreptify come in? I'll have a good pre-buffed energy shield, soul drainers, and 64 pdr. Wouldn't that make me almost invincible?

Those are spells that work on the monster. It's not really in this list.

ES is helpless against mana burners.

Decrepify is in the list at 5), though the -% ed applies at an earlier stage.
