There's an analysis thread about the gameplay vid on the first page, don't make extra threads.

This is very different because that thread describes in detail about the entire video this thread gives a numerical grade on each aspect. It is different.

Sorry to dissapoint you but no bosses were shown in that video :P. The "bosses" is similar to the named monsters in Diablo and Diablo II.

I thought the "Assault Beast" could kind of be considered a boss or mini boss, so whatever.

So did I til I saw the panels from WWI, no actual boss was shown, the Assault Beast and the Summoned "Thousand Pounder" was the random generator it seems, as far as I understand.

I sort of doubt that a thing like the Assault Beast would just be wandering around forests. Although, you do see it trundle by in the Forgotten Tomb.

Why does this matter if they are bosses or not anyway? I made a thread about grading certain aspects depending on my own reactions. Do other people wanna do the same thing?

Well perhaps I didn't explain it thruly enough, as far as I understand it's part of the random scripted events thru the game. Just showing us a random piece. According to Blizzard thesse things can happen in the game and the randomness factor is huge.

.

Why did you consider every aspect as having the same the same relevance?
If you added "polygons on barb's head" as an aspect, it would be almost irrelevant compared to other major aspects, and it would have the same weight as "sound"

Gameplay is really considered the same thing as fun or not fun because it is what determines what is fun and what is not. But, thank you for rating.

EDIT: By the way your ratings all average out to 8/10.

I'm sorry but I really don't understand your question onishin

I was saying you averaged all aspects, so all of them are equal to you. you could have:

overall rating= sum(aspects ratings x respective weights) / nr of aspects

Forget about it. not really important.

I averaged them out because it shows overall how satisfied I am with everything I saw, so it makes sense.

EDIT: I took into account both satisfaction AND quality personally in each category not by importance.

I considered it a boss when I saw it too. At least by D2 standards it doesn't appear to be a regular superunique. The commentator also said something along the lines of "before we finish, let's see a real battle", which I expected of a boss battle.

True but according to Blizzard they never showed one, dunno what to make of it, perhaps they meant that it wasn't a "story" boss such as Mephisto or something similar. But back to the subject (sorry for hijacking a part of your thread).

I prefer not to rate it since it's just pre-alpha in it's current state but I pretty much loved all the aspects of it.

Ya it may not have been an "act" boss or anything, but I think you can define anything that is much stronger than a regular monster at least a "mini-boss."
