Sooo, what do you think is on its way?

Personally im going with Sorcerer/Sorceress... i think they will make a comeback.

As for the other DII classes like the assasin and druid... i think we can say good bye to them... and they may be melded with others like a Zonsin... if you get me...

:jig:!?WHAT DO YOU THINK?!:jig:

The Warrior/ Paladin will certainly be there, it has been the chore since inception.

Sorceress, most definitely. Maybe they go back to calling it a sorcerer. Or maybe a Wizard, or whatever.

And Rogue/Amazon. Maybe this time they call it a Ranger. But again, I can not envision a class that is not bow-centric

We already have the Barbarian and Witch doctor. Does anyone think there will NOT be an expansion? I imagine that whatever is left out here will be included in the expansion.

I'm pretty sure that that the sorc will be in in one form or the other. Also a melee class that is a bit more defensive like the paladin is propably ingame.

I guess that there will be a physical ranged attacker. Perhaps something like a Ranger with some stealthy S.O.B attributes.

my opinion is we will get 2 new and 1 old char. i feel they will announce 2 more characters together whenever they finally get to it and those 2 will include 1 new and 1 returning. the 5th class will be saved til the end and will most certainly be new.

with that said i think the sorc will be next and the new class will be a mostly melee class. probably something like a paladin but not the actual paladin

the final class i think they will go with a ranger which will give people ranged skills and some druid like spells. really i see the ranger as a amazon/druid mix to simplify it

Flux has a poll put up over here (http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=669865) where you can voice your opinions and vote for them ;)

Basically we will be getting the same concept of classes we have always had, they will be a little tweaked and be holding a new name. But it will be the same in concept.

My guess: Wizard, Warrior, and Archer.

Actually, we already have more than these two classes, Blizzard has said so themselves. They were arguing on the subject of what class should be presented in the gameplay-movie and then came up with barbarian because it was so easily recognizable. So I think there's already WD and barbarian + 2-3 classes "finished", or at least they have made the decision to implement them to the game.

my guess is they have all 5 "done" but not at 100%. they probably could have shown any of the 5

I suspect, and for this I have no tangible evidence, a ranger-dragoon class that specializes in killing certain types of monsters.

Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate style?

My guess, a lot of the pre-expansion classes from D2 will see a come back. As I'm not a fan of the classes and art-style from world of warcraft, I'm a bit afraid we'll see some WoW class cross over (hunter could replace amazon and druid, rogue is similar to assassin, warlock and necromancer). For some reason the D2 classes always seemed cooler than the WoW equivalents. They both had paladins, but D2's paladins are sword-wielding, hand-of-god invoking badasses, where as WoW paladins are mostly healers and meatshields.

Just my two cents, I'm hoping blizzard releases more info before the year ends (heard the release would be between 1-1.5 years from the announcement).

I'm afraid we won't see necromancer/warlock type character, as the Witch Doctor-class already possesses some of the skills, generally associated with the necromancer-class or similars (wall of zombies)..

As long as the Barbarian is the only class that makes a comback I will be happy. I want new, fresh characters to experiment with, not re-rendered classes that are 10 years old. I know that seems harsh but its how I feel
