Question on ilvl

Hi, this topic is very confusing to me. I have looked around in the different FAQS but I end up being confused and not understanding. I have seen so many different kind of lvls like ilvl, qlvl, alvl. What do these all stand for? I know ilvl is item level and alvl is area level but what is qlvl?. I have a list of the different area levels in the game. My question is mainly about items though since I am trying to cube some gcs into skill gcs. The Arreat Summit says to use gcs found in Hell Mode. Now, does any gc dropped in Hell Mode work? What determines the ilvl? Does it have anything to do with its stats? Or any random gc from hell mode that the stats are crappy and only require lvl 15 to use has a high ilvl that I can use to cube? Also on Crafting, does the character level matter? Should I use my lvl 87 necro to craft? The items I use, in this case ammys, are the same as gcs? I should use ones dropped in Hell Mode to get a chance at the best possible mods?

Sorry for all the questions but if these could be answered in as simple way as possible I would really appreciate it.

To answer the basic ones:
-a GC needs ilvl 50+ to be a skiller, NM Great Marsh onwards iirc
-qlvl is quality level
-charlvl does affect crafts, as does the ilvl of the crafted item

Is there a list somewhere of what is the best lvl to be and what to use to get +skill gcs and other good things? All these faqs explain how the whole thing works but you have to figure it out yourself what is best for what. Is there a guide where someone did the figuring out already?

Nvm, Corax's pretty much told me what I wanted to know as far as charms go. What about crafting though? If I want to get +2 to Sorc skills ammy, what lvl should my character be and where should I get the ammy from?

lvl93 character, if you gamble the ammy and then craft, it always has a chance to get +2skills

the lvl req for them is 89 btw

So I need to get my guy to 93 so I can just gamble the ammy off Anya and craft it? Alright damn, I wont waste any more materials until I hit 93 then. Thanks.
