View Full Version : A good idea

We all know there's huge controversy over the art direction.
Now as we know, the D3 camp is pretty damned polarized about it. So they're going to go with one side or the other.
Obviously a WoW looking Diablo is going to be pretty hard for a lot of people to swallow.
So, in the event of the release of the game, I have 2 suggestions. Blizzard releases a playable demo. If not, well then... you know what you can do to try before you buy.

People blow this completely out of proportion. What we have seen so far from Diablo 3 looks nothing at all like WoW.
And advertising software piracy is not a good idea.
Are you suggesting we either steal a copy or get one illegally over the internet? That's the stupidest thing I have heard. Go fall in a hole, land on a knife and die.

You sure? Can you not just say you don't agree with the guy, it's a silly idea, illegal or whatever, even say why you feel that way but, really, to come over all battle.net about it?
It's not meant in a hurtful way. I may not be a 'veteran' member here, but I have been staying up to date and replying to topics I wish to do so in. It's how I joke. Like when your joking around with a friend and the jokes start to get more rough, example "Don't make me cut your kidney out". It's a joke. I know your an admin, but the ideology of his statement is not acceptable.

What's with this weird hard on about piracy issues?
Can one NOT play the game at the store as some kind of promotional thing or play the game at a friend's house before they go buying something they may not like?
You mean you made that; if not, well then... remark in total innocence. I call you a liar.

Clarification please? What are you talking about?
Felix is saying that if you claim you said "If not, well then... you know what you can do to try before you buy" without realizing that it could be obviously taken as a suggestion to pirate the game, you are a liar.

I thought so. Obviously that statement is ambiguous. Not that I would pirate D3 myself, it's none of my business as to how one manages to try before they buy.
Would it have been even more ambiguous if I had said, "try before you buy"?
