Back from a small break.

Well, some of you guys might remember me from about 8+ months ago.

Thought I'd take a much needed break, but in that time I managed to get myself a decent PC running Vista, so DII hasn't really ended up being played at all (not that it's bad compared to current games, I just havn't been energetic enough to figure out how to get it running).

The arrival of D3 drove me back here, but it also co-incided with the 1.12 patch. I don't think I'll be picking up DII in the future, but I'm wondering what the current state of the game is? Is classic finally dying with the new ladder or are there still a fair few players getting to decent levels? Any major classic people leave?

Well, a pretty pointless thread besides, but I couldn't just come back after this long and lurk...

I just came back for a bit of casual playing and I must say I'm surprised by the amount of players on classic East. There are still people hitting the high levels in classic for ladder- I suggest you give it a try.

As for people still here, the only person I use to know is Warlock. It seems Fredsta, Zodi and AKukami all have left here, they still play though.

I was pretty devastated when I popped into USwest with a HC character, and found NO GAMES whatsoever. Then I popped over to East like you suggested and found a few games up in HC.

Man, Zodi/Akukami were a fixture in these forums since well before I joined...sad to hear that they're gone. Zodi was a bit too elitist but he brought lots of knowledge to the classic forums...

Your accounts were something like UM-X weren't they?
If so, I remember playing with you on HC East.

Started playing HC East a few days ago with yet another holy bolt pally (Dr-Bolt remake), got to level 21 but huge 3 minute lag spikes soon had me back in the channel dead.
Probably stop playing again, it was just a little bit of fun, but the lack of sleep was getting to me (up to 2-3 o clock every morning)

Not heaps of people, it's a small group of people who mainly play esccl...an old classic clan. Zodijackyl, me, some others..
