Breast Plate (30 STR) is the lightest armor you can make it in.

Using a breastplate or light plate for Enigma is not the most effective way to use your resources.

If you can afford Enigma, you can probably afford an anni, a torch and something else with +str, so you wont't need much additional str to meet the reqs of a mage plate or even a dusk shroud. I think there's no reason to go any lower than that. If you cannot afford anni+torch, you should better invest a few points into str instead of saving up 10 stats points for 20/25/30 life, concentrating on things which have more effect with less efforts.

Only if you have a shield or you teleport or run out of weapon range and missile paths all the time. That nmight be essential for PvP, but this might as well be a PvM matter ;)

For most cases defence is next to useless in PvM too. Unless you're hitting 15k plus I wouldn't bother. The only builds I ever worried about it with were a defiant zealot and an ironbarb which both cracked 60k.
