Who isn't semi-surprised by the cinematic preview that showcased a very... Final Fantasy-esque female.

Not only that, the bleeched out background and the way scenes were colored all remind me of very Korean-esque style.

Now, I know Koreans have a long history with Blizzard. (Seeing how they are the only people crazy enough to have dedicated Starcraft/Diablo TV channel... that lasted till today...) Put two and two together, I came up with a theory:

Blizzard actually bought Korea and enslaved the Koreans without us knowing.

Think about it, it all make sense now! Why are the Koreans against US beef? Because of secret COW level!!! Connections are numerous if you look for them. Who is the president of Korea? Lee Myung-bak. That sounds to me like "let my ung back." Now, I have no idea what ung means, but I speculate it to be the final boss in Diablo 3. Coincidence? I think not.

In conclusion, Blizzard bought Korea, hence Koreans are forced to make Diablo3, HENCE cinematics very Korean-esque.

Do some research before asking silly questions and wasting bandwidth.

The girl in the cinematic isn't final fantasy esque in the very least.

FF is a JAPANESE franchise, as mentioned, and doesn't enjoy very much success in Korea.

If you're gonna accuse it of ripping off anything at least be realistic and accuse it of ripping of LOTR...

I think the CGI looks very similar to the final fantasy movie, but that's because the character model in the trailer is a lot more realistic in terms of proportions and fine detail compared to the original CGI in DII. It's been a while since I've played through DII and I remembered being blown away by the CGI which was top notch in the day, the impression of which has been cemented in my head all this time. However now that I seen it again all this time later in Cain's journal I now see that CGI has improved greatly since then. Checkout the shape of the limbs and the structure of the face in particular, it now looks way more realistic; the hair looks incredibly life like (although a bit too clean, like you see in a shampoo commercial). If I rember correctly this took a lot of computational power to do in FF: the spirites within and now it's being done in a computer game trailer. It's a vast improvement overall.

Edit:
Also if you're going to make a joke about Koreans at least get your facts right.

It's just one character in a cinematic. The barbarian (both male/female) don't look japanese or korean at all and the wich doctor doesn't even look like a human. So you get this impression from just one character and the coloring of scenes?

yup

p.s. i realized final fantasy is by japanese. if i want to stretch it, I can... look on the credit list (movie or game) and see the CGI department. where is it from? KOREA. please dawg, i got MY facts right. haha.

and beside, japanese... korean... all their CGI style are pretty much the same anyways. just go to youtube and look up korean game cinematics. type keyword "soul" + whatever word you like. most likely you return something. amazingly, koreans love the word "soul" for some reason.

Ok first, your acting like that 14 year old nerd in high school that wants to be a gangbanger but fails miserably. Second, you make up too much gossip. Third, I own Korea. Not blizzard.

She doesn't look Korean to me... She just looks like a regular, attractive 20-something European woman.

Looks like pixels to me. Nothing attractive, although I don't touch myself to cartoon's.

well clearly i am a 14 year old nerd that tried to act "gangsta", so with your collegiate intelligence... am i in college or not?

also... it's not important whether you own stock EVERY where. it only matters that you own stock in ONE place (which owns korea)

so in this case, i win.

LOTR was EXACTLY what I was thinking when I first saw the cinematic -visually it was spot-on for Return of the King...

For the most part the trailer was well done.

I also noticed the female's look and my first thought was Final Fantasy.

The art also could have been better in some areas. Darker...meaner...more Diablo-like....

I was hoping for something that trumped D2 LOD's Trailer. That was a great one....

Was still a decent trailer. Blizzard makes some of the best.
