I'm currently making a Fishymancer and have been really enjoying it so far.
As far as stats go, do anyone have what I should really shoot for about level 75? I guess my question is really about what I should level up first and how high I should take my dex? I'm a bit confused on how dex effects shield blocking and when I actually need this to make my necro powerful.
Thanks.

well theres 2 routes to go, its a matter of preference, the dex that you lvl has an affect on ur attack rating, the thing is what you have for an attack rating stacks onto your skellies, so if you max dex your skellies will be more effective, but the general rule of thumb is when you have got enough strenght for your gear, you max health. basically the it comes down to do you want to kill faster, or be an accident waiting to happen by ways of 1 hit by ai char=death to you. i personally usually do 100 in strenght dex, and vitality to start, then eventually dumb the rest into vitality. it doesnt even hurt to bring your energy up to 40 or 50 to help get your army on the go, plus ce is a mana eater unless your merc is running insight

How high I should take my dex?

Both non-block and block are viable. It depends a bit on your playstyle and preference. That is all that matters.

Your AR does not transfer to your Skellies. Only your clvl for use in determining their AR. They have way more AR than a Necro can achieve.

hmm intresting mad mantis, i read a forumla somewhere that showed that it was in the calculation for there chance to hit, but its effect was very nill, i do know personally that i use 80 dex, 120 strenght, 50 energy, and the rest to vitality, which has always allowed me to wear whatever gear, and have enough hp to take a few hits even though usually i sacrifice armor for some extra mf, or skellie damage
I wouldn't take max block. Not only do you get block-locked and stunlocked more often, but it also limits your shield to homunculus. While it's a good shield with good mods, it ónly gives +2 to summoning skills, which is the most importsnt mod. I personally dont like homu

You could use a better "+summoning" shield on switch.

STR: 77 (for DS, the most common armor for all uses)
DEX: none
VITA: all
ENE: none (or 50-75 got easy CEing ig you're not a perfectionist)

Actually just pre-buffing with your switch isn't a good idea, unless you're mfing. If you're gonna pre-buff, you should do it properly and change all your equipment so it yields as much +skills as possible. Anyway, yes I do prebuff my skellies, but you still need +skills in order for them not to collapse. Even though the quality of the skeletons is applied when summmoning them, skeletons still die when the maximum skeleton limit is lowered. So you get more skeletons with more +skills
Aaahhh the block vs no block is an eternal debate, no matter whether in softcore or hardcore. Personally I cant understand how people can prefer having 100-200 more life to being 4 times more safe agains physical damage. Notice how necros often complain about archers being a pain in the butt and having to fundle around with dim vision to cope with it. With max block, that doesnt happen.
The advantage of more life? Being safer against vipers, thats all I can imagine. Against souls its necessary to have +max resists or absorb anyway and other elemental baddies arent nearly as dangerous.
