Such a nice touch that adds a very epic feel to the battle! I absoltely loved it! I just hope there are more musics for more important battle as we just saw two lesser monsters which were the Thousand Pounder the Siegebreaker beast. But I would like a new music to Act bosses and of course, a kick-*** epic music to the final battle.

I think this is a big factor of immersion, leaving the players more closer to the story, it gives more heart and soul the game and doesnt make us forget that we are inside a big epic quest and not in a sandbox random loot generator (not that D2 was like that but what was shown in D3 was much more epic).

I liked it too! It's great that even though Matt Uelmen left, someone good replaced him.

Oh and the sandbox random loot generator was implemented with the name Hellgate: London :P
(did you buy that crap? I bought the brazilian special edition version and besides being crap, it didn't come with the stories that were included in the US release - nor the ingame paint for your char, though I couldn't care less for that)

Yes my fellow native friend I did buy it. Infact it was exactly the title that I was going to give as an example of a sandbox random loot generator. That game lacked so much soul while D3 is oozing with it.

That game showed how the story and feeling that you are inside a big quest is important. When I play that game I feel empty. Its like there is no reason to do what you are doing.

But just from watching the D3 gameplay video there was so much epicness on it. The ghouls crawling from the abyss, the sacrifice and the summoning of the first boss and of course, the siege breaker beast.

There's one quest in HG:L that feels epic - the one when you first go into an open area that has sentry guns, which you must activate. There you find big monsters for the first time and there's all those other guys fighting.
But later, 2 things break that sensation:
1 - the area has a dead end, how lame is that?
2 - the area is used again in other random quests/pathways.

And I just can't stand Lucius :P

edit: it had the setting for a great story and feeling, though. I hope Flagship don't die and can come up with a Hellgate:Rio ( :D ) or something that corrects their past mistakes. Maybe Sambodromo would be invaded by demons in the middle of carnival? All those feathers flying and blood sprawling, very cool, and we could then wait until they killed Galvão Bueno to begin killing the demons! hahahaha!

No, because it's a bastardized form of the D2 act V music, which is better...

Well, carrying over some parts of music from D1 and D2 is good, if its not the major theme. Even if it is, it can be great: Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core for the PSP took FFVII music as its base and made it even better in some cases, and that resulted in a great set of scores. The composers where not the same, and the original (Nobuo Uematsu) is a true legend.

I think we can expect a good and true work for Diablo from this new guy.
