Probably controversial, but really, I think it would make the game much more fun.
It just seems lame that to get good items, you have to wear a loadout of magic-find gear that really lessens your character's power (excluding overpowered mf items like snarko and oculus).
I hope it just goes back to how it was in D1, where you would just wear the best gear you could find and buy, and not have to worry about equipping mf gear.
i never really worried about MF to begin with. even with a character that had a ton of MF i wouldnt find much, plus it made whatever you were killing to MF that much harder to kill. unless like you said you got the expensive stuff.
i think they could do without it but at the same time i wont complain if its there.
i do wonder (if it is there) how it will affect the drop system. will my MF affect the drops you can pick up from the monster or just the ones it drops for me to pick up.

I agree, just make it an even ground and make you worry about your characters' performance and not the chance the has to get stuff.
There's nothing wrong with MF. You have a choice - it's up to you if you want char with big MF and less killing power, +skills +dmg oriented killing machine or balanced equip.
Removing MF would only make the game less variable.

I donīt care if MF stays or be removed.
As psudo stated, I never really care about MF.
I tried it once, but it was slower to kill and I never really get anything that I could say "OH MY GOD, IT DROPPED!". The best items I found was wearing power gear to kill fast.

I liked the MF system aswell, im doubting it will return in d3 tho.
I just pray to the lord that whatever they decide that it will be hard to get highend items.
This sort of ties into the whole "money as currency" situation
I would love to see godly items up for sell by vendors even if they cost an arm and a leg. Maybe this eliminates the "challenge" some players are looking for but this is just my 2cents

im totaly against godly items for cash, hell i would consider going out naked infront of Blizz office with to prevent it.
I have nothing against casuals getting good items, but the realy good items should be very very very hard to get or d3 will loose one of the biggest reasons why d2 was so loved.
Blizzard has to be careful about how they tinker with the loot system. Gambling is a powerful force for many, and like it or not that was/is a huge part of the draw of D2. Im not talking gambling at the vendors with gold, although that is certainly a similar aspect and it was possible to get better than blues doing so. Thats fine. I am talking about mf runs and the lure of the next godly item. I dont want to see items for gold ever, not beyond what we see now....blues. Perhaps give the random mods ( Cruel Colossus Blade of Evisceration anyone?)a chance to spawn a godly item, but not set/uniques or rares.
Its true we have to remember the people who originally designed this stuff are gone for the most part....Blizzards D3 team would be wise to do the same.
