Is my necro fubar?

So i haven't played properly in ages, 2-3 years at least and D2 seems to have got a lot more complicated.

Currently lvl 40 with the following skills.

12 PD
10 PE
7 PN
1 teeth/ce

3 clay golem
2 golem mastery

1 lower resist
1 in the other prereqs

I haven't spent any points in a while but atmo with items im on
70str
26dex
81vit
26 energy

With 75 left to spend.

Now i don't know if its because thats a stupid build or because my gears crap but i'm doing literally no damage on the baal runs i've just been playing in.

I don't mind starting over if thats best.

well the best thing ive found with necros is that start with your main skill, which in your case is poisen explosion by the looks of it, ive found with necros maxing the main skill then building around it makes them easier to start, your build isnt fubar, because your slowly working on the base for all your skillz. i def wouldnt recommend trying to solo though as for what you have your damage is to low

keep pumping poison nova, it will work, your start to the char hasnt been bad at all. Dont sweat it about not kicking *** in baal runs, only a few cookiecutter builds do big damage there. And if thats what you want then, better build a blizz sorc or hammerdin or get godly items for your necro.

Those points in clay golem and golem mastery were quite wasted. 1 point each is enough. 1 point in summon resist is good too. I would try to get max block, so get some more dex. Str is probably enough as it is. Your highest requirement will be trang ouls belt, which needs 92 str I think. With torch, anni and trangs shield, you probably have enough str as it is. Res in vit ofc
