Ok I have seen TONS of thread made complaining/suggesting/flaming/? about the current Diablo 3 status. Then I figured out, why not just compile them all into one SINGLE thread?
So let's keep the ball rolling people

Do not take the trailer videos TOO seriously. This is just a first glimpse of D3, and the game is still in the making.

Try not to suggest things that will be technicially impossible or useless.

My gripes and suggestions

. I hope Bosses have better AI and live up to their name, rather than being just a bulky mass of pixels that just sits there and spam skills. *Yawn*
Also, it would be nice if the Bosses make the players grab their seats and hearts skip a beat once in a while, than dying in mere seconds.

. Items. The video mentioned there will MASSES of items available, but we are not sure if it would be like D2, as in normal/rare/set/unique.
However, I hope the items are designed and engineered professionally because overall, Diablo is all about item fetishes, isn't it :smug:

. Will D3 possess the normal/nightmare/hell modes legacy? I HOPE NOT. I hope everything is in ONE world. This legacy is starting to BORE me.
Why? Imagine doing the same quests in five acts THREE BLOODY times.

. The current big hoo-haa about the colors in D3 amazes me. I see people playing with photoshops and editing the screenies so that they can make their points known. GOOD JOB people  BUT try not overdo it. I noticed some of the edited screenshots, seriously the effects are too overly drastic. If you want everything to be black and white, go watch some old Japanese horror flick or something :unimpressed: Undeniably, I prefer a more dark and mysterious D3, not an "overly-colorful WoW specimen."

. New classe(s). Sooo Blizzard's added a new class, the witchdoctor. Then I noticed people complaining because they think it will replace the necromancer. GOOD. I hate the necromancer anyway. Oh please, summoning skeletons and casting bone walls, thats like so passe. Sorry people but this is DIABLO 3, if you want to moan and groan, then go back to DIABLO 2. Time to accept new changes.

. Please ensure the game to be RUSH-GLITCHED-FREE. Make sure everyone has to do all the quests before moving on, instead of the usual "kill the Boss, then move on" thingy. I seriously detest seeing a level 1 walking around and leeching off experience and leveling like crazy at high level areas.

. I suggest adding a requirement for leeching off a monster, based on its level. (Example, a level 110 skeleton requires a player to be *110-20= level 90* in order to leech the experience). Obviously there will be people who will abuse glitches and power level their characters for the sake of PvP.

. Make sure all classes skillwise are on par with one another. Seriously we do not want another overpowered "hammerdin" in Diablo 3.

. Add animations with sound when a character level-ups. Diablo has been missing this for years.

. Guild system. Definitely a MUST-HAVE for all online games.

Feedback on current D3

. Graphics' excellent. Makes me want to dump all the MMORPGs in my computer into the bin.
. Surprises. It seems there are alot of new exciting elements in D3. GOOD, I love surprises BUT try not to reveal too many of them.
. Classes. I like the way they designed the 2 released classes. It has a "diablo" feel in it. Can't wait to see the rest.
. Gender. Its nice we can choose male/female for each classes now.
. Monsters. YAY NEW MONSTERS. What more can you ask for?

Huge. I want Diablo 3 to be extremely huge. I've been waiting for this for many years (as have many of us). Nothing would make me sadder than to finish the game in any reasonable amount of time. I want new areas to explore for a long time after I buy the game.

Like what I have suggested, abolish the 3 modes and make everything into one HUGE single world.

So far most of what I wanted is in there - a new inv system, a hotbar (like in WoW), better mini-map, etc...

The game is looking awesome to me.

I definately want a more gothic, dark look to the art. People are saying that it is too bright, but that's not even it, really. What matters to me is the little things. I want to see sacrifices on tables. I want to see ancient evil rituals inscribed on the gound and walls. I want to see people impaled with all sorts of nasty things. I want to see what made Diablo unique in the first place, that dark, gothic feel that was so different from all of the other games around.

Other than that, I would have preferred to see more classes (I am a little disappointed to see only 5 classes, even if they are gender swappable now), but I can understand that an expansion should hold hopefully more than two this time. I would like to see customization of the characters beyond the armor and skills. Hair, skin, scars, etc. I would like to see Stats mean something in the game, and to have each class have important stats different from each other, rather than just spamming vitality.

I would like to see a return of the claustraphobic feel of the first game, the around every corner could lurk death kind of idea.

I want to see many different viable build options for each class, as well as many more options than we have had previously. Instead of 3 trees, give everyone 6 or something like that, but have only 2 choosable from, so that different combinations have to be tested and experimented with.

I wish the old inventory was back, in a way, just wiht a larger (much larger) stash for those item collectors amongst us.

I want mod support so that people can tweak the game a myriad of different ways to accomidate for things the designers never thought of, much like Elder Scrolls, Titan Quest, Dungeon Siege.

I most definately want LAN play options, especially if battlenet 2.0 decides to be a pay monthly scheme, so that I can still play with my friends if I choose, without having to shell out money for a service I wouldn't use often enough to justify.

Most of all, I want Diablo III, not a Warcraft with Diablo skin, or a Baldur's Gate Console feel. I want a sequal, an evolution to, the series that I have loved for many years now, not something that is designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Appeal to the fans of the game that already exist, not the "fans that we might be able to get if we changed this to this"...key word "might".

Level requirements on all quests.

An expansion pack every year(cut out the n/nm/h and add acts) i'll gladly pay for added content

Make gold valueable by setting shop prices higher, repairing godly armor and buying life saving potions should be pricey. Only bosses should drop large amounts of gold and selling non-godly items shouldn't get you rich. What's a Quill Rat carrying around gold for anyway? whats he gonna buy?

Lots more mini-boss's, I heard seigebreaker wasn't an act boss just some "champion" monster you run into along the way, that's what I wanna hear. Random large scale attacks on the party might be hard to keep unpredictable after awhile but go play the first 20 minutes of Doom3 and tell me gaming doesn't need more of that!

Universal Stash; Blizzard acknowledges this is an item driven game so let me give my witchdoctor his sick new tribal mask without having to rely on other people or risky practices.

All I got atm :)

I want them to keep the game basically the SAME. Better graphics, better AI sure.
If they change the PvP, or the difficulty modes, the game will be ruined. Having 3 different difficulties is cool, it's unique. Diablo 2 is the best game ever released in my opinion, all I want to change is the graphics and some harder monsters.
