Mysterious Splashpage Symbols return

If you all go to the new D3 website and look through Cain's journal you'll see the symbols from the splash page written in blood on page 13.

Don't know their significance to Diablo 3 but they obviously aren't meant to represent Warcraft or Starcraft if they are now part if Diablo lore.

I've got no idea...

Thoughts?

Yep, I just finished reading it. Obviously not Lost vikings haha. Not sure exactly what they mean, I was looking for my old Diablo 1 instruction manual, there was alot of Art and Lore in it, was wondering if there was anything in there regarding the symbols ?

Should point out , that those who like lore should read/listen to Cain's Journal, gives you a good overview from the events from Diablo 1 until now. Also includes D2 cinematics to refresh your memory :)
