Mine was locust swarm

All the Barbarian's attacks, especially the leap attacks and crushing blows.
Didn't really like the Witch Doctor. The locust swarm looked cool and the zombie wall was alright i guess, but the Barb seems way more fun to play.

Easily the zombie wall :jig:

Zombie Wall as well. I like both the idea and the animation.

fire bomb baby

Fire Bomb seemed fairly generic to me. But Locust Swarm on the other hand, now that was a dastardly spell to watch in action.

Seems like the focus will be on aoe skills to take down hordes of low hp mobs at once, instead of single monsters at a time.

Though Mass Confusion caught my eye too, brutal and sinister and really a way to thin down a large group of foes threatening you or your party and really hinting on the insidious nature of the Witch Doctor.

The Witch Doctor seems to have elements of the Druid, Assassin and Necromancer rolled into one package.

I really think all the skills rock, they probably picked the coolest they have so far to show off.

Hello Jim

Already? It only has like 4 skills.
Anyway, nothing caught my eye so far.

PS- Now that I've seen the its skills. Does the WD looks to anyone alot like the monsters R&C Up Your Arsenal in the 2nd World (I think)?

Zombie wall looks pretty cool.

Another vote for zombie wall from me :whistling:

Casting locust swarm on your minions is one of the best combinations ever.

Imagine you could imbue your skellies with amp damage or decrepify?

The witch doctor will rock!

Zombie wall indeed. :jig:

Does the locust swarm make anyone think of a castable rabies?

Rabies never dissolved flesh...

Though it did spread from monster to monster (as does rabies), I think someone's never played a druid.

What are you talking about? I have played 15 rabies druids to date...and it still never dissolved flesh.

Locust seems like a physical attack so if a monster is PI it won't take damage from it.

Rabies could be tanked with poison res, not PI.

I really liked Zombie Wall, but the concept of Locust Swarm has really taken me off :D

+1 Locust Swarm ATW \o/

@arlington: LW can be any of "Poison", "Acid", "Disease" or "Physical", or even a combination of some/all of them.

I really like the CE on your own pets. Think of it's potential for PvP (assuming they don't nerf the damage) The WD's pet CE skill could really be deadly.
There could be numerous PvP tactics used already just from the game demo. I.E. if enemy strays too near to pets, BOOM! or stun enemy with firebomb, cast pet on top and SPLAT!

I will have to say the Locust Swarm, I mean come on how awesome was that to see it shred threw like five or six zombies leaving just bones.

My thoughts exactly. Seems like synergies are going to be more than passive bonues in this game, and skills/spells will have multiple functions. AWESOME!

tie between locust swarm and fire bomb for me...on the other hand, Zombie Wall was also kinda cool...so hard to choose.

I'm amazed no one mentioned the ability to cast spells at your own pets yet.

One thing I was really dreaming of for D3 was the ability to combine spells, and so far it could become a reality! :jig:

My favorite is soul harvest, it seems like it could have cool potential. However, I don't like the overall design that would make soul harvest cool.

Old thread is OLD. I like Meteor Storm, when 1 meteor at a time just isn't enough (is 1 EVER enough?)

EDIT: oops, forgot this was fave Witch Doctor spells...in that case I vote for Fire Bats!

All bout the mass confusion thing you know at some point you will hit that and sit back and laugh

Fire Bats!

Yes. This one skill is what makes me want to play a WD.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of summons. I would like to say something with summoning, but currently there are only zombie dogs.

So I'll go with something else in the Voodoo skill-tree.

I choose Horrify, it looks really cool, and it is actually kind of scary. The Witch Doctor makes some very voodoo-like shaman chants and a big ghoulish looking version of the Witch Doctor starts freakin' out on the enemies around. It's really cool. I can see a lot of uses for this, ideally in PvP.

This.

Blizzard is doing good with spells so far, I'm looking forward to see the rest of them.

Horrify.
Not for its pretty unoriginal effect, but for it's amazing graphics. If all of the WD skills would have looked like that in the Demo and at Blizzcon, many less people would keep saying it's a lame char.

Locust Swarm thus far...

And I'm feeling some Locust Swarm + Mass Confusion combos to "thin out their numbers" a bit. Oh, with some Mongrels too.

Voriax

Suicide Mongrels is my favourite. Mass confusion, tossing fire, sacrificing low HP mongrels for that extra blow up effect will be amazing for micromanagement.

I could see it now: Summon Mongrel, Summon Mongrel, Locust swarm, locust swarm, "ah crap im nearly surrounded!", Soul Harvest, Soul Harvest, Mass confusion, Soul Harvest, Soul Harvest, Fear, (mongrel number 1 low) "Boom!", summon Mongrel, Mongrel Number 2 low "boom". Rinse Repeat.

If they don't have any timer cooldowns, you could be sacrificing mongrels while tossing fire, amazing crowd cleanup capability.

I think Witchdoctor will be a class of great finesse, much moreso than a warlock.

I would have to add my vote for Soul Harvest. Great visual but I think what gets me the most is the sound the spell makes.

yep, zombie wall. WD looks trapper'ish to me and the wall would group them for dog explosions, acid clouds, locusts, soul harvest, etc. and still do dmg itself. invaluable tool.

Horrify would make monsters run back and forth thru all the above mentioned stuff so it would be useful too but I think it will be unreliable in many situations.
