The live feed has begun!(well kinda it still says live feed starting at 11:45) BUT sometimes itll show the massive main stage and everyone getting situated and then goes back to the live feed will start at 11:45 picture. i was hoping to open this thread up to people watching lets start talking about everything we see! we can still budge some HEY LOOK THERES SOMTHING DIABLIC!!!! lol well lets get this started already shall we? only 45 mins left!

Other than the people taking seat, and the stage work I have seen nothing. Right now though, I seem to have a black out.. Not even the "Show will start at 11:45" art. Just black screen.

Hey!! First ever post here. I gotta say, i am pumped about this. I have been one of the most die hard diablo fans out there, and pray to god this is diablo 3 they are showing

That was earlier, that it showed that. Then it cut back to the Show starts at 11:45 screen.. I can't say the exact time, but it was between 25-35 mins ago.

the live feed can be found at http://eu.blizzard.com/wwi08/streams.xml you have to download octo shape to play the live feed (install will only take you 5 mins) OH and as for the streaming will begin at 11:45 it was showing people sit down and stuff then it went back to that page then it showed people putting up cameras and stuff and now its back to the stream will begin at 11:45 lol dont worry people its coming! and yes it will automatically play if you can see the streaming will start at 11:45 page!

It is telling me that Octoplayer needs an application for it to run. I'm not sure what it wants. I tried both Firefox and WMP, but they aren't working for it.

not sure what to tell you LongHornRob when you install it it should be in your task bar and everything then you just go to blizz's site and click the live feed.

When you install Octoplayer, if you didn't might want to restart firefox. Then try and open it, and click the link to see if it starts WMP. Only thing I can think of right off hand.

im not sure then try making another thread and see if you can get the answer(youd get it faster with another thread) cause im not sure how to fix your problem. =[ unless you dont have windows media player which is what im running my feed on

hah go figure. yes i have WMP and no it wouldn't run WMP. I restarted my whole computer and it didn't do a thing. Ah well, too late now anyway apparently.

yea they are taking their time dont worry every feed usually doesnt pop up when they say it will they will start it when THEY have the speaker come up.

people who didn't get in the queue: Try the Tournament stage feed, it also shows the opening ceremony, but not the dev panel. Atleast you'll get some of the action

For those who didn't watch the low resolution tournament stage feed: :smug:

We saw:

- Barbarian player character
- Witch Doctor player character
- Female versions of the above
- Deckard Cain NPC
- Better graphics (doh)
- Epic battles with regular and boss monsters
- Barbarian whirlwind skill
- Which Doctor zombie wall skill (awesome!!)
- Similar camera view as in Diablo 2
- Much more that I didn't catch up on because I came in late

Basicaly, Diablo 2, just prettier and more epic!

Well, I wasnt overly impressed by what I saw... mind you I saw very little as my connection died early and I only came back for the final segemnt of the D3 preview.

But the impression I got was, "Diablo is going WoW´ish".
I hope this isnt the case but it looked too cute, thats My Opionon on the 30 seconds I saw. So I might change my mind later.

Aside from missing the entire intro and movie ffs... i saw
- the two hosts are annoying as hell
- a freeze frame half buffer of diablos face that made me do a double fist pump
- barbarian gameplay
- 3d isometric views, awesome
- deckard cain goes 'stay awhile and...' then the barbarian cuts him off, lol, and cain says 'no one ever listens...'
- fire dance presentation to the original Tristram theme... awesome

also
-dangerously close to cartoony, imo, too bright outside, etc
- witchdoctor, on the fence with that

A few comments:

I hate how the gore, bodies, and environmental damage disappear. The cracks in the floor heal up like it never happened.

It looks a bit slow, but we shall see later.

Too much purple flashy colors when something is hit. What is that stuff? It's like those Japanese style arcade fighter games with all the puffs and splashes of whatever-it-is. It's distracting.

I love how things catch on fire though.

Overall details are great.

I am watching gameplay video and I just stunned how smooth gameplay is, the effects are mind blowing. The shockwaves are awesome. And this is created by the most brute class of all - the barbarian. Now imagine a bunch of sorcereces, paladins, amazons blowing up all they got at hundreds of mobs. Holy ****!!!!
