there are so many reasons and i thought id try and pile most of the reasons here in this thread including my own theories.
1.[the splash image]everyone in the world is raving about this image it could be anything! and it seems unlikely to think blizzard would make it obvious to what we were looking at when we look at that image. maybe they didnt even expect the fanbase D3 has ALREADY pulled together across all the Diablo 3 discussion forums.
2.[the penguin AKA harbringer] the Harbringer or evil penguin as some say isnt relevant to what exactly IT is but the theory we have come up with (which is pretty damn good) is that the 3 fingers its showing is like the 3 fingers the official WWI poster diablo is holding up(i dont think they are just showing their gansta side =D)
3.[file names] then theres the picture file names which is pretty relevant to be associated with diablo 3.
4.[blizz buys domains!?] we have found out that legally blizzard has bought over 8 diablo 3 web domains!!! including our friends over at www.diablo3.com!
5.[the sudden hellfire charm] this is one of my own theories posted in another thread of mine but ill put it here also. the uber tristram patch came with the hellfire charm drop that has amazing stats with lvl 10-30 hydra charges!? i think there is a tie between project hydra and the hellfire charm. i know it was released a while back but who knows how long they have been working on it!
6.[the pentagram] there IS a star on the splash page that weall can see. (the points of the star being the runes) i believe this makes a pentagram possibly? for diablo 3? over all we dont know much about this splash at all so i wont reinforce that much.
7.[battle.net forums] blizzard opened up a diablo 3 discussion board. now we know that blizzard has a program that opens up a forum that is related to what everyone is talking about. but it was deleted as soon as people seen it! people can still go to the other bogus ones like warcraft 5 or diablo 6! why?? im not sure....but now all diablo 3 related things are "under construction"....wierd
thats all. and i would like to destroy the rumor of the diablo movie showing at WWI it COULD be true but i highly doubt its going to be at WWI... its already been announced that a GAME will be released not a movie.
