my theory involving DIABLO 3

ok ive posted this before but i think i got rid of it or didnt do it right...

anyways i have another theory on the game DIABLO 3. in Blizzards amazing game DIABLO 2 they released a patch in which you could go through a portal on the hell difficulty and fight all 3 MAIN bosses diablo, mephisto, and Baal all at once. now after you accomplish defeating them once AGAIN (noobs lol) the final brother will drop a charm called the "Hellfire Charm" which is undoubtebly the best charm in the game but other than its stats it throw a [Summon Hydra level 10] in the charm....wtf? well anyways i thought about it and i think it has to do with project HYDRA (the new game being announced) no other patches or anything have been released on the other franchises involving any hydras....could it be DIABLO 3?! well....i know the constant viewing population hopes it will be. feel free to post comments on my theory but please just remember its a THOUGHT not anything i know 100%.

It's a nice theory. I mean, it could have its merits - as the 10 charges of level 30 (if i remember correctly) hydra are useless otherwise - and are extremely expensive if you use them and repair the charm - so really useless. Hmm... perhaps the level 30 was trying to hint at something? hydra - 30 ... diablo - 3

But I won't diss it, since I always thought Uber Tristram has clues of new patches because of the SoH in it.

Did I understand correctly: the 1.12 ubertristram hellfire charm has hydra charges in it, which it didn't previously have?

no the charm always had the charges to my knoledge...its only a thought. they HAVE been planning this game (or a game) for a very long time...if you remember a while back when the original WoW came out if you went to the "Blizzard is Hiring" page they asked for people with MMO experience AND diablo specific experience. then after rumors started to float they got rid of the diablo experience metioned on their page. so it seems back then they were making it but didnt know if it would come out due to the cancellation of starcraft ghost and whatnot. so if they are making it expect it late this year maybe or next year because obviously they've been on it for a while now. to me i think it would be pointless to start a new franchise when still so much money is to be made off of the current ones. and besides doesnt everyone think it only makes sense to start another diablo game? they have started next gen sequals to every other franchise! there is no way that blizzard will discontinue the diablo franchise. WAY to many people are looking forward to it

I agree with you, see my post in "Diablo christmas '09" thread or something. They could've easily waited as long as needed to DIII to be complete - why announce something that's not ready? (And presumably indeed waited several years). It's not like they learned nothing from SC:Ghost or as if they were in any hurry/financial pressure. Even after DIII going back to drawing board 2005 they've had three good years of development and ideas back from 2001.'

And why would it hurt to have three games released close to eachother? A MMO, ARPG and RTS don't have much in common. Blizzard has three individual teams so there's no personnel limitations.

i agree with that too lol but i think that Diablo 3 will be more expansive online than diablo 2 maybe not MMO but i have the feeling they may do a guildwars approach maybe? i could definately be wrong there but that would be good i think maybe not AS much people in the city as GW but i think they might do somthing similar. and it does make sense to release all 3 because everyone knows that blizzard is full of themselves and they know they have amazing games so they are trying to create somthing like "a game for everyone" type of thing just to reach almost all of the gaming population. honestly i think that if D3 and Lich king comes out that SC2 will do the worst of the 3 (dont flame) i just think more people are intrested in those games rather than an RTS.
