My Merc can't wear weapon!

Hi,

although my Merc has got the strenght's, level's and dexterity's requirement of the weapon, he cannot equip it. For getting the required strenght, I sockeled Duriel's Shell with a perfect amnestyt, now he gets +25 strenght( 15 from Duriel+ 10 from amnestyt).He had 174 str., now he has 199, and the weapon's strenght-req. is 195 (bonehew).
Why he still cannot be equiped?
I hope you can help me ;)

Some mercs cannot equip certain items. I am using an ActII merc and have equipped bonehew with no problems at all using a socketed hel rune to bring down the requirement.

Which merc are u using?

And did you also check the level of the merc versus the level of the weapon? The level restriction on the weapon also applies to a merc.

You are saying your merc is a he, so that means act2,3 or 5.

Act2 mercs can use a Bonhew.

So:

Is your merc an act 3 or 5 merc?

Or is the Bonehew at zero duribility and in need of repair or has it been upgraded? Even though you said your merc was the level for it, what level is he?

Of course, it is the act2 Merc, thats why I am wondering. Just read my first sentence, My Merc (from nightmare with mighty aura) has got the levels req. of the weapon! He is lvl 75. All my other mercs from other characters did not have any problems with bonehew, this one has the probleme, and I just do not get it :(

Does his previous weapon have a bonus to Strength? This won't be counted when trying to equip the Bonehew.

nope, it does not have a bonus on Strenght, cause it is an Insight-weapon...

Insight has +5 to all atriibutes. With 199 strength you are exactly 1 (199-5=194) point short. Just give him one more level.

Insight does have a bonus to Strength - +5 all attributes. So without that, he only has 194 strength and that's not enough. He needs 1 more point.
