CD Key in use.

About 45 minutes ago I had a bad lag-out in a game and could not rejoin any games I made or others made.

I Shut D2 down and restarted the game and got the"Your CD key in in use by myself". I have had that before but It has been 45 minutes now and am getting irritated.

Any hints?

It sounds like you have an instance of the game running in the background. Bring up your task manager (Control+Alt+Delete)) and look for Diablo's exc. file. It might be Game.exc or Diabloii.exe or something, I forget which ...it's been a few years since I have done this.

Right click and end process.

That should fix things.
