Diablo 3 domain

Hi All...

Wow ! it's been a while since I been active on this site. I'm getting a little hyped on the possible announcement of D3.

I noticed that the last little while diablo3.com , was re-directing (as mentionned by the admins there)...

today, the Diablo3.com dies on lookup.

Also it appears the registrant/admin/tech information has been updated. (check your favorite whois server ; easywhois, etc.) Blizzard Entertainment, Irvine, California !

While I'm posting rumors, I just checked all of the diablo-related domain names blizzard owns, as listed on our d3 wiki page.

All of them are dead; 404 or 403 or page not found errors. Including diablo3.com, which they Borged up a few weeks ago and was, until recently, redirecting to the fansite now located at diablofans.com.

The one exception? diablo4.fr, which redirects to http://eu.blizzard.com/en/

If someone wants to try to construct a rumor based on the fact that at least 8 d3-related domain names owned by blizzard are all dead, while their one diablo 4 domain name is redirecting to blizzard's main European page, be my guest. Perhaps bliz knows they'll need the diablo 3 ones pointing to a new site in the immediate future, while they know they'll have no need of diablo4 domain names for years to come?

I tried some others, just for fun. diablo4.com is the only interesting one, since it redirects to http://www.world-of-diablo.com/index.html, which sounds like a fansite, but contains no content other than a title page saying it's been blocked by the entertainment software association. diablo4.net and diabloiv.com are both squated by godaddy.com, and diabloiv.net doesn't exist.

As you might remember there was some fuzz a while back about the diablo3.com domain. Last time I tried to enter Diablo3.com it would automaticly redirect me to diablofans.com. Well, I tried it now and when I try to enter Diablo3.com, no page shows and I don't get redirected either. Diablofans.com is still up and running however, so it's not because that site is temp. down either.

Conclusion: I think we might be on the verge of a D3 announce :thumbsup: Besides, the rune everyone's talking about looks to me more like a shael than a rune inscribed in Frostmorne. The Diablo franchise uses alot more runes than warcraft anyway. And I think alot of people are drawn to the rune rather than the underlying redness in the center of the picture. If you look at simulair Wotlk, Frozen Throne etc. you won't find any red in the artwork, just different types of black, blue and white.
