Vista can't find my CD?

So I tried to install d2 onto my second computer (which runs vista) and the process was smooth. However, the game simply won't start and keeps asking me for the CD. THE CD IS THERE!! But it was not detected at all....any of you know how to fix this? I used the same copy to install d2 on my desktop (which runs XP) and was totally fine...Just not for vista...=(

Does it recognize other cd's?

This is going to sound silly, but have you tried clicking on the "Retry" button when the failure notice pops up?

I recently reinstalled D2 on my Vista system myself, and for some reason over half the time my disc isn't recognized the first time out. But one second after I click the "Retry" button the game starts up for me.

I think it's the quantum wave function collapsing :crazyeyes:.
