Team I Don't Care About Diablo 2 As Much As Others And I'd Rather Sleep At Night. As the name implies, I probably won't be as hardcore as the other ladder rush team, but whoever just wants to play as a team when ladder resets more casually let me know. I'll most likely be playing as a blizz sorc, non TK, a decision that I most likely will end up regretting. And Yes, feel free to drop out whenever. I'll probably be starting when ladder resets, taking a dinner break sometime a couple hours after, then playing till around 1 or 2 Eastern time before playing for the whole day the next day. I believe my account will just be *Mcsaladshaker (I'm lacking the creativity).

I'm leaning towards a summon necro right now, since I'm pretty good with 'em and it's always good to have lots of extra tanks. The curses will come in handy as well. I probably won't decide for sure until the day of the reset though.

Glad to see a group that does not require a fifteen hour commitment. I'm not sure if I will be there for the start though, it all depends on whether I go to my Muay Thai class on Monday or Tuesday. Alright it seems like we have more than 8 as of now, so we will divide up into teams evenly in a logical fashion, (gogo team of 6 bo barbs), I also picture people coming and going whenever. Meet in channel op xbananax, we'll start after the hardcore runners get organized (figure 15 mins or so after ladder resets, so feel free to level your guy up to level 5 or whatever level you can get to in 15 mins before beginning group play)

Should we set up some type of game name and pw so people can go in and out? Maybe post the game name here? Just a thought.

There is nothing stating that this is MANDATORY - this is just 2 game when u want 2... so if ya can make it all good... if ya can't then - games can be created later :)
Sounds great. More than likely will start some weird build like a MA sin because I find it much more fun MFing with characters that are dangerous :)
Yeah, low key all the way. I just faced up to the fact that I won't be able to get on until after 6PM Pacific time. The ladder should be about 3hr. old by then.

I have finally decided, just to get a character who's high enough level to shepherd my wife and daughter through (at least) A5 Normal, when the Ladder resets I think I'll start a Necro Overlord (I think that's what the build is called):
* A few Skeletons as meat shields (but not max)
* Max or near-max Skeleton Mastery (but not at first)
* Max Skeleton Mage (yes I know, but it's the point of the build)
* More than just one point in Lower Resist (aiming for ~10+ with adders)
* More than just one point in Fire Golem (aiming for ~10+ with adders)
* More than just one point in Corpse Explosion (remember, 50% Fire damage)
* (Possibly) A few points in Poison Nova
* (Probably) Act 1 Fire Arrow merc with "Edge" bow (for a bit of damage reflect) (but to start, whatever bow I can get my hands on)
Gear: 3 x Pdiamond shield, Stealth (Tal + Eth) body armor, shopped wand [eventually, White Runeword wand (Dol + Io)] (note: my dirty trick is to get a wand with at least +1 to Revive, so you don't have to spend skill points on Revives), and whatever else I can scrape up.
I'll be interested to see how viable it is. I have taken conventional Necro Summoners all the way through Hell easily several times before... I wanted to try something a little more challenging this time.
I'll try to find a game with some of my friends from the D2.net Hardcore forum, but if for whatever reason I can't do that, I'll set up a private game. Account number for the new Ladder season will be:
hsg_0000033 (Note: US East Hardcore Ladder. I will only be able to start playing at approximately 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, or so, however. Hopefully the TPPKers won't be powerful enough by then to one-hit me.)

Oh, wait... you mean there's something called "supper"? Hmm. Maybe I just stack up the snack bars by the PC? :grin: (Although, even if it's technically at 6, last reset I found it was very difficult to get back on Battle.Net right at the initial "we're back up" time... might be a few minutes / hours before I can actually log in.)
Now if I could just figure out to do with all those characters who will have arrived "off the ladder"...

I took off today... so I can do differential calculus all night! :( I hate math. They never told me economics was going to have math in it! :D
And today is my lifting day. So I may be there, late admittedly, but be there as either a Fire Claw druid/Fury Wolf/MA Sin/or Barb. Or one of the other classes except sorceress. Stupid sorks and there magicks.

I wouldn't say totally worthless, but I understand what you're getting at, the extra points are really meant for duration in Hell... I won't be pumping it initially, anyway, certainly not until I get the other stuff, particularly Skelly Mages, etc., up to a level that can take a few hits in Hell.
Actually the more interesting question is whether you put points in it at all, or whether you just hope that you'll be able to shop or find a blue / 2 socket gray wand with "+1 to Lower Resist". Problem here is that I will already be trying to get a wand with "+1 to Revive" (so I don't have to pay for Revives; you get 6 to 8 of 'em with skill adders by the time you get to Hell if you just get the skill on the wand, and I find that keeping track of more than that number of Revives is just too confusing, besides); it's probably wishful thinking that you'll find a wand with "+2 to Necro skills" and both of these other +1 staffmods. (I certainly haven't over 2 Ladder seasons, and I've been looking hard!) :spy:
Anyway, I plan to show up to op xbananax as soon as possible after Ladder re-availability and we'll go from there... I might be a bit late as I have a dinner party coming over in the early afternoon and I'm not sure if they'll be all gone by 6:00 p.m., but if they aren't, maybe I'll introduce them to D2! :grin:

Yeah, the reset is going strong. Some ppl are up to lvl 21 already. I won't be able to concentrate on playing until around 6pm eastern though. See you folks in channel.
