What first character for ladder reset?

I'm also going to start at the new ladder reset. Currently i'm in doubt on what character i should make...
I have a few friends, so i might play a while in a party, but also like to play solo with it.
Offcourse it should be a character that plays nice untwinked. But there are quite a lot of them ;) I'm kinda bored with the summoner, so i'd like to make another character.

I was thinking about the following:
- Barb (BO/WW/Ik set)
Maybe it is to depended on IK set, or will it work without? But it is nice for party play and further characters
- Lighnting Sorc
Will this survive untwinked?
- Druid (werewolf/fireclaw)
They seem pretty underpowered without nice gear... ?
- Assasin
Actually not played it much. So is there a nice/good untwinked build?
- Hammerdin
Ofcourse the hammerdin, but is it ok untwinked??

These are my thoughts. As you can see i have a lot of options open at the moment. Maybe someone can give any good advice, or just share your thoughts on your first character with the ladder reset!

I'll make a Singer/Frenzier & some sort of ranged character first (zon, hdin or maybe even a barb thrower). I always play two at once so I'll be running two at the same time. Being able to always give any character I'm working on BC/Shout/BO makes everything easier, so my Singer is always my first priority. He also happens to be my favorite mf character as well, so that works out well.

About what specific build are you talking then? And can it do MF runs "untwinked" solo???
Since i kinda wanna play a barb. It's not played that much and i haven't played it for a few years :D

Singer/Frenzier is pretty specific. Max Frenzy, BO & Shout for sure, Act II Defiance merc. Eventually max mastery, with some points in Find Item as well (I like to get it up near 40% if I can). He'll be a hork-a-holic. :) The only thing is what type of weapon, and that will totally depend on what I find - although having said that it will probably end up being Swords because there are more of those than anything, the options are best. But Mastery is the very last thing I put any points into so it's easy to hold off on committing to a weapon choice.

Well I'm either going to make a vengeance pally and rock out with Holy Thunder, a summon necro, an orb/tk sorc, or a light sorc...I really hate resets because I end up making about five different characters and it takes me weeks to get them anywhere.

I might be making an assassin or druid depending on whether there is a ladder reset team for me :(

I'll make 2 paladins, 1 barb, 2 sorcerors and a necro :nod: come tuesday.

One hammer (standard) for clearing the way.
One smiter (20-pt smiter as opposed to kingdryland's guide) for questdropping Baal + the occasional DClone spawn.
One crier (standard) for BO.
One chanter (standard) for skellies and leveling.
One orb/sf soso (socialism's guide) for questdropping mephy/andy
One fishy (standard) - why I do not know.

May build a witchyzon / strafeazon for CS at some point too.

I'll have my blizzer in the CTA group and I'll start an indepentent loader team of an enchant sorc and a trapper. Each character I make that needs questing I'll have dummies there for the extra forge.

Fyi I'm planning on doing a bunch of rushing and general Hell Baal runs with a superporting Baal glitcher.

somone should have an assasin too; mindblast makes hephasto look flabby and weak.

trapsins are very strong untwinked/undergeared and very fast to start up as well.
