Ok well,I have been trying for a while but can't seen to get a good Circlet for my Pvp Glass Cannon Zon so,I'm thinking about using a COA instead.
I figure why not,its got 30 res,FHR,and +1 Skill (I know +skill doesnt matter but,it doesnt hurt either.lol).
the only thing that sucks is the 174 str req but,I;m making a true Glas Cannon(all dex,no life) and already have 478 dex at lvl 80.
So what do you think...good Idea or bad idea?..and comments/suggestions would be appreciated.thanx

bad idea. The normal setup for pvp bowazon is a gmb setup where you need 45 ias on your helm. COA doesn't offer 3 sockets nor ias so you can't hit 7fpa.

That being said, you may have chosen the mat path, thus making ias much less important. with that setup you need 45 ias. 20 can come from gloves - ias knockback really is the best option unless want ctc life tap which is bm. 20 from amulet or 10 from belt. Making one ias jewel in the helm enough.
If you then compare the stats of Crown of Ages with those of Rockstopper you don't see much difference. COA has a bit more damage reduction, 1 sockets more and poison resistance. Rockstopper has more resistance to the important once - fire, lightning and cold - still has 10 damage reduction and has much less str req.

So unless you really put some crazy stuff in that last socket of your perfect COA, I don't really see it has that many advantages over Rockstopper. And keeping in mind that Rockstopper certainly is not the standard helm and thus that you can have better helms, I wouldn't chose it.
I think you best options are still in rare or magic circlets. Problem is that they are expensive, though they make the best candidates by far.

P.S. note that you can use m'avina's circlet with a 15 ias jewel to get to 7fpa with gmb.

Well,I actually did go the Mat Bow route so,Ias isnt important.I already have enough with my ammy(Cats Eye) and gloves (20 IAS,Knockback,Leech)and my COA has 30 res,15 DR,and 2 Sockets(2x 40/15 Jewels).I think this would be a lot better than Rockstopper or Mavs.
