How to recognize auras?

And curses? Often I see weird colorful animations on monsters either at their feet or sometimes above their heads. I suspect that these mean that something else is at work. Is there somewhere a list of auras and how to recognize them? Thank you

When you've played for a while you will eventually learn to recognise most by heart.

Important ones to learn recognicing:

Curses: Iron Maiden(!!), Amplify Damage, Decrepify, Lower Resists
Auras: Fanaticism, Might, Holy Freeze, Conviction

Especially important when they are used by your enemies.

also if you're not sure about some curse affects and or auras, you can also check your char stat screen for changes for a quickie, but arreat summit.com is also good
