what is the Anya bug?

I heard the res you get from Anya quest disapears after you die. If this is true, why would anyone do the quests?

Is this the Anya bug I hear about?

Yes, it's true. If you die, the quest bonus from all the Anya quests gets lost until you rejoin the game.

One thing to note is that the character screen won't show the loss of resistance, but it is there all the same.

I take it this was proved through players just testing their res out? Also, is this just a 1.11 thing or has blizzard failed to correct this the entire time?

I believe the bug has been there some time already.

And yes, the bug was confirmed through playtesting, most likely. Although it's discovery must have been accidental.
