View Full Version : pure boner gear
id like some input on the end gear for my boner necro hc. i wont be playing with him solo so i decided to make it pure boner for fun and max damage.
i will most likely be able to gather the necessary items for a decent high lvl necro so i was wondering if trangs set is useful or should i go with another setup?
assuming i have access to torch/anni and some other nice items. (no engima :( )
edit: also would like max block (with trangs or homo)

Trangs set = big no no. Reason, the FCR in Vampire form is SLOW
I personally went with the following:
Shako Um'd - I like it
Rare Necro FCR Amulet - but lots of different things works.
White, Boneshade or Hoto - I used a Decrp BS White to save points in curses.
Up'd Um'd 35 Viper - Gave 50 res, but a normal Viper can work.
Homon - Socket with Pdiamond or Eld
Trangs Gloves - Obvious choice
FCR rings x2 - helps hit 125%
Arach - What else
Waterwalks - Dex for block, life, and +max FR = Love
Torch/Anni
One thing I really liked with him, was the Bone Armor being so high. He was one of the few characters I could feel safe with without BO even though he had only ~950ish life, the Bone Armor was about 650 and absorb'd alot. Skills were all Bone save for 3 in summon tree (Clay Golem, Mastery, Res) to get a Decent Clay Golem as a tank. It doesn't effect your damage much in the long run anyways.
thanks a lot :) exactly the input i was looking for, i knew i couldnt use trangs for end game gear, but thought id need to be uber rich for the gear w/ trangs. this i can afford. thank you
Mine was a bit different, as I did have access to an Enigma. Might not be exactly what you're looking for bit extra input usually doesn't hurt:
Enigma BP
2 Necro/20 FCR Rare Circlet with like 85 mana, never got around to socketing but probably would have Um'ed or PRuby (ideally Res all/second mod jewel) - 20 fcr
Trang's Gloves - 20 fcr
White Wand with Base skills (+1 Iron Golem, +3 Spear, +1 Spirit) - 20 fcr
Necro Skills/15 FCR Amulet, minor life and res (Crafted of course) - 15 fcr
Arach of course - 20 fcr
2x Rings - 20 fcr
Splendor Necro head w/ base (+1 Decrep, +2 Spirit, +2 Spear) - 10 fcr
Don't remember, but think I went with Marrows for the stats/Skel mastery, he's since been mostly stripped and sold so no proof.
Without the 15FCR amulet, I would've been short on FCR and would either have had to go with spirit (high str req) or give up my Enigma.
You're on Europe I assume?
yup im europe,
so far what i have:
shako
umes wand
SoE (working on the arach)
trangs gloves i dont have but from trading eventually
viper (not yet but will get somehow)
boots ( not sure what boots but thank you both for input)
rings ammy->whatever helps
and homo
Mine is slightly lighter on the gear but does just as well:
Shako (no socket yet)
Rare PnB Amulet (want better)
Boneshade
Skin (non-upped and no socket either!)
Homunculous with pDia
Trangs gloves
FCR rings
FCR belt (iirc!)
58 life Waterwalks
Only one plain skiller! (no torch or anni)
I use Teeth mostly as it's fun...does need a Spear chucked in here n there then I tend to start a CE chain as Teeth is only fun for so long i.e until I want a mob killed fast!

A skimpy two peice tends to do the trick
Shako
Viper 21 :/ (all i could afford)
Homo
SoE
Gravepalm
Goblintoe
MahimOak
Umes
I have a question about white, is it even possible to buy a wand 2sox in any difficulty level? ive looked so many times, cant find. i have the runes ready.
any tips on finding the right base wand?
only in norma act 1 and 2 can you shop one i think. even at that you are not likely to get a good one.
lots of people save 2 socket wands, try trading for it

It's been a while since I played, but I didn't think merchants could spawn non-magical socketed wands. I was under the impression that all merchant-spawned, socketed items had prefixes (Mechanics, Jewelers, etc.)
Early acts.
Act 1 and 2 in Norm for certain and possibly Act 3 if you are a low enough level

Glad I'm not the only person that snickered when I read the subject. :lol2:
