PVM Pure Blizzard Weapon Questions.

Hello, I want to know which weapon would be better for Hell Baal runs with my Blizzard Sorcerer.

I am new to the game but I read that Death's Fathom and Heart of the Oak are the best 2 options.

I am aiming my FCR to 105%, 8 frames per second. I dont think I will need the extra FCR from HotO.

If I make the HotO, should it be on a Flail? Does the weapon attack speed changes something? Faster = better?

Is the plus cold damage from Fathom the right choice? How should I use the socket from the quest? Is it socketable?

I am thinking about the end game BEST, TOP, GOD weapon :)

Most make it in a flail since it's low req and easy to find. Nothing of importance. If you miss-click with normal attack you might be stuck in the attack animation shorter I guess ...

It's socketable, either a cold facet, res jewel, or ist for mf I'd say.

Wizzy and spirit sword can do the job too, depends on your needs.

Items to reach 105% with:
Wizzy route: wizzy (50), trang gloves (20), arachnid mesh (20) spirit/lidless wall (20-35) = 105 or over.

HotO route: Hoto (40), Arach (20), Trang gloves (20), Perf spirit shield (35) = 105.

DF route: DF (20), Arach (20), Trang gloves (20), Perf spirit shield (35), 1x FCR ring = 105.

Spirit sword: Perf spirit (35), Trang (20), Arach (20), Good spirit shield (30-35) = 105.

The 15-30% Cold dmg helps a lot since it doesn't stack with the mastery. The best option to socket it with is 5/5 Cold facet. There are several other options to socket it with too... 15 res jewel, Fal for strength, etc, etc

For the BEST, TOP, GOD weapon I would vote Fathom. It even gives Fire and Lightning resists which is nice since they are arguably the most important resists in the game (I never thought much of cold, not that useful compared to the huge amounts of bugged FE and lightning monsters in the game), so Fathom resists could almost count as resists all in this case.

The 15%-30% cold damage is really massive.
