Blizz sorc for hell / pvp?

Two separate questions here: how well do blizz sorcs do in hell, and how well do they do in pvp? Am I going to be pretty inadequate in these areas as a blizz sorc?

P.S. My gf's playing a light sorc. How do the two compare to one another, and how well do light sorcs do in pvp and in hell?

Blizz sorcs can do PvP and PvM very well, but they require slightly different gear and stat layouts. Blizz sorc is sort of easier on PvM because Cold Mastery takes away the ridiculously high elemental resists most monsters have on Hell.

I enjoy pvp with blizz, yet you want prolly 10k+ damage on blizzard in order to one hit players. You mainly spam blizzard while teleporting and hope the other player runs into it.
