Best sorc duo and skills?

My gf's playing a light sorc w/ the usual stuff. I'm thinking of making a cold sorc. Will they be good together? Or should I go with fire? Also, what skills should we focus on since we're not gonna have a tank?

Well meteorbs (Meteor+Fireball with Frozen Orb as a backup) are very strong solo or in groups. Pure lightining sorcs' are very good as well, but need better items to get around lightining immunes solo like Infinity, Griffons, lots of Light skillers and good light facets, but depending on what your playing that might not be a problem. I have tried CL/FO sorceress' before, but I like meteorb better as a dual tree personally. And your merc's typically are the tanks so you should have them geared for survivability primarily, then damage IMO. These are just the cookie cutter builds for dual trees, a lot of combinations work if you know what the skills do and which synergies to max. You can look in the knowledge sticky at the top for specific builds and which skills to use.
