Hammerdin Setup Help

Hey im looking for a good Hammerdin guide i used the sorceress guide here http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=261493 and was wondering if anyone knew where to find a good Hammerdin setup guide kinda like this

Is there an updated guide for hammerdins? I can't seem to find anything with the current patch.

Hammrdins don't need a guide :) Max Hammer and it's support skills. Max the only aura that boosts hammer damage. Rest of skill points can be dropped into Holy shield.

Equipmentwise...as always depends on personal wealth. I run with:

Isted Shako
Enigma Dusk shroud
War Travellers
10% fcr ring
Bull Kathos ring
Arachnid
TO gloves
Mara
Hoto + spirit shield // 6 BO CtA + spirit shield
Torch, Annihilus, 3 combat charms + 12 FHR, Gheed's fortune

Merc: Insight, Umed Leviathan, Umed Gaze

This is without a doubt strongest character i've ever played. 3500 life, 125% FCR, 86 FHR, 13k damage hammer, almost 14k defence, 300% magic find.

MF runs are easy as hell...tele Baal runs in 8 people games even with insane lag, rush people through hell like there is no tomorrow. Only things that can bother me - Iron maiden on merc, huge packs of souls or fanatism multishot doll bosses.

I strongly doubt any experienced player could die with this character...at least i'm sure it'll survive my hardcore adventures for as long as this ladder lasts.

Only things that can bother me - Iron maiden on merc

Take his weapon away on levels with Oblivion knights. You will do fine with 1 point of redemption.



Hammer is neither the strongest, nor the fastest char in this game. He can do everything, but compared to javazon and poisonmancer he is very slow, and compared to trapsin he is easy to kill ^_^ popular doesn't mean best.

Iv also mainly with Stats only used them in str till it was 50-55 and all the rest into vit and my hammerdin did wounders.

hammerdin = monsters running back and forth avoiding hammers, difficulty hitting small monsters, annoying fetishes hiding at a corner and such = very low effective killing speed although most monsters die from one hammer.

He is durable but trapsin does _never_ get hit due to mindblast and cloak of shadows, so she is in fact safer.

Try unconventional chars sometime, there are faster and much more fun then the boring old cheesedin.

I sold my near perf hammerdin because I was dying out of boredom when playing him :p

I never had problems with aiming hammers or hitting small monsters. very low effective killing speed? Hammerdin is no doubt one of the fastest killing character in game, no immunes.

Trapsin do get hit too, i've played trapsin and the gloams and other stuff hit me as much as they hit me when i'm playing hammerdin.

I can't even remember when i have last time died on my hammerdin in pvm.

Only part i agree with is that theyr boring.

I never died with a hammerdin (finished my last one at lvl92 and sold him). I had to drink full rejuv pots sometimes, though.

With trapsin, I never had to drink, unless mana burned for some weird reason (i.e. my clumsiness). Gloams? what gloams. Cloak of shadows, bam, goodbye gloams. If the cooldown hasn't wore down yet, just mindblast them.

I had a lot of trouble aiming at small monsters at times with hdin and I was always teleing on top of them. Sometimes it took me a good 3-4 seconds to get into a correct position to hit a small creature. A trapsin, javazon or poisonmancer would clean two screens full of monsters in the same time.

I don't argue about hammerdin's usefulness, versatility etc. But I strongly disagree that he is a fast killer. He kills creatures fast (with 1 click), that is, but the nature of his attack (small area affected, small speed of the projectile, gaps between the projectiles' path) make him an average crowd killer. Other chars simply do it better. ^.^

I've never said hammerdins was fun!! Aight some people kill faster than him, but he's still a good killer (you won't this fight~~). I still don't agree with a poisonmancer though :smug:

Poisonmancer is on par with javazon when it comes to killing speed in PvM with death's web, good bramble and such.

I'll record a video for you if you don't believe :)

the only bad thing about him is that he is kinda slow against the bosses.
