Does fortitude ED work on shield smite damage? (no +dmg)

Hi!:) Can someone tell me if the enhanced damage from Fortitude works on shield smite damage? I.e. plain shield, no +dmg from Grief and such.

From smite skill description I understood that off-weapon ED should work but then I equipped a Fortitude on my paladin and it added a pitiful amount to smite damage (like +3 min and max). Am I doing something wrong?

iirc all ED work except if it comes from the weapon itself? idk, someone more elite can make sure.

Did you remember to cast holy shield? (which adds a lot of shield smite damage)

Off-weapon ED works like skill based ED so it should work.

Note that the LCS rarely gets Smite dmg right, so don't believe 300% additional off-weapon ed only adds 3 dmg, it will add 3 times your displayed shield dmg.
