The Summoner's Max Potential?

Does anyone know how strong a summon druid can become? I've gotten mine to lv87 and he still looks too weak. I've based him off the IK Bear in the town dump guide. At most the Bear will be doing 5000 average a hit I think (maybe 4500)

Is there a way to increase his damage? At the moment I think I'm still trying to max out Lycan while his main summons are maxed and Maul has I think 5 or 6 into it.

Gear is: IK Maul, belt, gloves and boots, Jalals, +2summon Ammy (Can't find a +3 or get Maras), and Chains of Honour. On switch it's HoTo and a +1 to all skills shield (Splendor I think). Rings are Carrion Wind for the poison resist and Raven Frost for the AR. He has a 14/16 torch and no Annihilus. I have no GC's and my inventory is filled with resist charms (I think 3/5 including tome and torch)

I think my summoned bear can do about 4k a hit and my merc I think 3k (he has no good items). The merc is an Act2 Might aura.

What can I do to make him stronger or survive longer?

You could get summoning gcs or maybe use Heart of Wolverine. What realm are you on and what is your budget?

and you can also put a point in shockwave, so pretty much nothing attacks you and your bear, making him survive longer

Stronger - 20 skill points into Grizzly, 20 skill points into Heart of Wolverine, Atma's Scarab + faster weapon.

Survive Longer - 20 skill points into Oak Sage, Act I Defiance Mercenary, Act II Ice Mercenary, Act I Prayer Mercenary (augment high level Grizzly's high life regeneration), 20 skill points into Dire Wolves, 20 skill points skill points into Spirit Wolves.

What does Atma's Scarab do? Also does anyone know how much a Highlord's wrath should cost? I think that would help a lot due to the 20IAS, light resi and +1 to all skills.

Atma's Scarab Has a 5% chance to cast level 2 Amplify Damage, which will trigger pretty reliably if you have a fast 4-5 frame weapon. This is a cheap way to increase your Grizzly's physical damage as well as break Physical immunes.

I think highlords is much better and more reliable than atmas... the 2%, I don't think its the most reliable PvM skill if were talking bout quick, effective killing. you'll need the resist & ias too, and deadly strike might as well be amp

You'd be much better getting A2 Might merc with Reapers Toll, decrep will proc all over the place and better control

I only answered what he asked, i.e. how can Grizzly damage or survivability be increased. Highlord's does nothing for that.

The mercenary with a Reapers Toll is a great idea 'though. It cannot break physical immunes however. . .
