Essentially one frame.

If you take a hit which takes out 1/8 of your damage or more, or your hit with anything when you have swirlies over your head, it takes a certain amount of time for you to be able to do anything.

With 142 fhr, you can do something in 1/25 of a second less than with 86 fhr. Its helpful, but not incredibly helpful.

It's 1/12 of your total life.

yes, if you loose more than 1/12 of your total life in one blow, you will go into FHR animation. With 142Fhr on a sorc, you will get out of that animation 1 frame faster than if you had 86Fhr.

In what situations would 142 FHR be better than the 86% FHR?

Assassins that use mindblast is a great example.

Well, its always better to have more fhr, however it depends on how much getting the 142 fhr cripples you.

142 fhr is fantastic against leaping barbs and mindblasting assassins.

vs most everything else (and even vs those two in most cases), 86% is plenty.
