optimal lvl for crafting gloves

Hi, does anyone know what's the optimum chr lvl to craft Hit Power Gloves with
20ias
+2 bow skills
mana leech
dex
light resist

First, you listed 5 affixes. Crafted items can get up to 4. I dropped mana leech in these calculations, but it really does not matter, because both light res and mana leech are not the highest affixes. Anyway, my calculations:


+2 skills : alvl 40
20 IAS: alvl 43
+10-15 dex: alvl 56
21-30 lres: alvl 18

Required alvl: 56

Chain Gloves: qlvl 12
Heavy Bracers: qlvl 43
Vambraces: qlvl 69

Required ilvls:

Chain Gloves: ilvl 62
Heavy Bracers: ilvl 78
Vambraces: ilvl 78

I assume you will craft Chain Gloves, as they require lowest ilvl, and
are easiest to get.

Since ilvl = [(0.5 * clvl)] + [(0.5 * ilvl)], with [] meaning round down,
you need clvl 65 to be able to gamble 100% chain gloves of required ilvl
(The maths is <(62 * 2 + 5) / 2>, <> = "round up"). Gambling is the
most reliable way to get base items of required ilvl.

Can anyone confirm whether my calculations are correct or wrong?

You don't want to gamble gloves when you can buy them at a set lvl. In nightmare, always ilvl = clvl +5 for shoped items. So you have to include that in your calculation and not gamble.

Second, you want your crafted gloves to have ilvl 71 so that they will always get 4 affixes. Therefore, often - unless you are after ldd crafts - buying and crafting with clvl 69 is a very solid choice. You will always get 4 affixes, almost all interesting mods can spawn and some uninteresting mods can't spawn.
I've done it and I've gotten quite some ias/knockback gloves - with life leech, fire res or +1 skill. Eventually, I'll get one of those goldy items aswell.
