unid items

hi everyone.

browsing trade games i noticed that many ppl offer or need unidentified annihilus, torches and some other items. im quite new to bnet so i cant imagine why ppl want unid items, as they pay for items with random stats.

can some1 explain why unid items are on such big demand?

It's just a gamble. Unid items are generally much cheaper than the same item with good/perfect stats.

all stats are determined when it is droped, makes no difference if cain from any act id's it or what lvl char id's the item

unid items normally sell for less then high quality ones, some people like to take a gamble on getting a good one for a cheaper price

i've just asked one friend and he said that if item is unid, its guaranteed is legit, and that why many ppl want them. is this true?

not always, unid items can be dupd like any other item, but its tough to tell since most buyers would id them right away

Beware of buying unidentified upgradable items. For example, someone offering an unid Shako (as dumb as it is) can actually sell an upgraded unidentified Peasant Crown. Yes, unid items can be upped.

Yes, unid items can be upped.That's been patched. The upgrading process identifies items now. I also believe the hacks to unid id'ed items have all been patched as well.
