Is it worth the zod?

I found an eth shako (207 def.) and i was wondering if sticking a zod in there will be worth it.

No. They're not rare enough, and certainly not worth a zod rune.

You're usually much better off 'ber'-ing or 'jah'-ing a normal one, or 'um'-ing or 'ptopaz'-ing.

use it on a javazon w/o the zod. i've been doing that with my merc's eth shako for a while now in cow runs and i've not lost a durability yet. even if it gets down to 1 dura, my merc will still use it.

Seconded.

My javazon also found an eth Shako (I believe it had 7 durability). I was worried about using it at first but then I realized it would last a long time with a ranged character. Certainly long enough to get a lot of good use out of it.

Yep, and I'm highly grateful for it! My shako started with 7/7, currently has 5/7. The loss came from questing through Act 5 Hell. No worries against cows though, if I felt inclined to run them.
