Question about uniques and insight RW.

I recently heard that only one unique can drop per game. Is that right, or is it only one unique can drop per monster? I just had two uniques drop in one go (from two seperate unique monsters).

About insight... on Arreat Summit it says meditation aura doesn't work on hireables, but on these forums I heard meditation aura DOES work on them. Which one is it? Thanks.

Well you should stop listening to rumors on bnet, there is no cap on how many uniques can drop in a game. And lots of uniques can drop from a monster, I have had 4 from meph once, although they were all worthless it does happen.

The meditation aura doesn't work on mercs as they don't have mana, but it gives the aura to your party and yourself thats why you get the mana. Insight works by giving your merc the aura and you get the aura from him, he just doesn't regen mana.

You can't get two of the SAME unique in the same game. You can very well get all the uniques ever in one game (although the chances are SMAAAAAAAAAAALL).

Insight can work in such a way that if you equip it on a Prayer merc, it gets synergized by his aura, and both you and he will heal at double rate.

In addition to uniques, you can also get two of the same set item in one drop. Not that it matters most of the time......

IIRC, it is NOT possible to get 2 of the same unique in the same drop. Someone even tested it by modding the game so that Quill Rats only dropped many Unique rings. Only a few of them dropped as unique rings, rest became rares.

...Though my post above might lead one to think i also meant 2 of the same unique in the same drop. Not my intention there.

Mercs have unlimited mana in any case, so they don't need the meditation aura. You equip them with INSIGHT to give you the mana regeneration you need.

BTW, If you're having trouble w/ your merc not generating the meditation aura (as often happens when he dies and you buy him back), take the weapon away from him and give it right back. It will "reset" the aura.
