I know for sure range aren't displayed in yards, so I'm really interested how much is really difference in 1 range. Maybe there is image similar to this one showing yards http://mykyoyo.googlepages.com/diablo-radius.jpg

Tentacle Beasts have a range of 7 in case you where going to ask. Ranged attacks are measured in duration.

2/3 of a tile = a yard. If you look at your picture and see the 5th yard marker you can actually see the tile being chopped left and right.

Interesting picture.

What it shows is that range 1 is not much worse than range 2 (only 2 tiles less). And that range 3 is not much worse than 4 (again only 2 tiles less).

Can I ask you where you got it from?

The was the first place I came across:

Links at the bottom help too. Amazon Basin and Phrozen Keep seem to have to best info on this stuff. There is a bit of math thats been put into it. I think credit for the picture belongs to Rivo at Amazon Basin but I'm not 100% because the thread I found didn't actually have the picture in it but it sounded like it.

He's done a proud bit of math by my standards. From what's been found, arrow and bolt ranges and speeds are the hardest to properly uncover. If someone finds out more can they report back. I'd apprieciate it.

p.s. It's certainly a subject worthy of a guide if anyone's got the stones.

That first link was a good read, even if I just skimmed through. Haven't the time to check the other link yet. Some time back, linking to the AB wasn't permitted, but I see these links so often now, that I wonder if that has changed?

Why do all these sources say that a range of six is unattainable? Arreat Summit says that warpikes and ghost spears have ranges of six.

Wooginator, I think you're confusing the Range and Sockets columns: according to the Arreat Summit, War Pikes and Ghost Spears have Range 5 (actually 5-7 against Size 1-3 targets) and 6 Sockets.
