hi all, i have 2 questions about game mechanics

first, i know that using resist+absorb u can make some kind of elemental damage heal u. what is the formulae, how much % resist and % absorb on single element u need to make elemental damge actually heal u?

and second, mefisto in uber tristram has conviction aura. what is his aura level and for how many exact % he lowers players resists?

As for your first question you better wait for someone else to answer that.

Über Mephisto has a lvl 20 conviction i think.. with a quick look at the arreat summit it lowers the resists with -125%

Someone should correct me if im wrong:p

Your first question is not that simple. Different enemies do different amounts of damage with different elements. In general though, you will need straight absorb. %absorb is capped at 40%, so %absorb can never be enough to turn damage into life.

The order resists and absorb are applied is:

resists
% absorb
straight absorbIf you can find the damage a monster does, you can then find what combination is necessary to be healed. Example:

An enemy does 100 lightning damage. If you have 75 resist lightning and 20 lightning absorb, you are healed 20 damage and take 5 damage.
