need help with skilling my 29 bowazon

hi all

i decided to build a lvl 29 bowazon, but i'm not really sure how i should skill her.

i was thinking:
1 jab
1 ga
1 penetrate
8 dodge
8 avoid
9 cs
10 evade

would that be the best way to go or?

if you are thinking bow, why not max guide as much as you can? each pts will lower mana cost (omg cost so much :S) and increase dmg.

what gears were you thinking?
if you go upped rogue bow (can't remember req but should be <lv 30 but not 100%) i don't know how much pts you'd want on CS since it will give DS. (but dmg output will be lower on LCS)

also you can't put 10 pts in evade at that level :p

seek further assistance from 'pros' XD

I'd max GA too.

mystified, Sure the mana cost is small, but I'd wager after a nice duel, even that little cost (with ALLLLLLL those arrows) would add up. ;)

angelics always help imo, although you'd think ar isn't needed it helps with jab switch (plus dtm..but we really shouldn't get hit to get mana :p)
i guess SoJ is a way to go too...although i don't really fancy it so much.

and yeah, mana is too high. i mean, out of all skills why does guide cost MORE at lower level? this is plain weird!!!

Up'd Rogue's gets lvl 29 so you would be safe on that. For the read of your gear you should be thinking about where your going to be getting ias from (especially since you can use ias jewel's). Best bet would prolly be twitch+Death Gloves/Belt. Id check to see if you hit the right bp's but 1.) the calc seems to be down for me... 2.) i cant seem to find a table easily of where they are.

Make sure you get some nice max/ar/life-frw gc's and sc's and youll be dishing out some very nice dmg.

Good helm to look for would be 1 amazon/30 frw/2 sockets/life/mana/resist. Something along those lines (though not all of em, ive seen zons do fine with a 2os 30 frw circ).

crit for high % with items, aim for somewhere between 56 and 61 %.

if you want get decoy, it will eat one charge or DF here and there or so.


put the rest into d/a/e as you wish.

5s ashwood bow 3skill ed 4x shael + max dmg jewel 20+
5s ashwood bow 3skill ed 4x shael + nef for bm duels ^^
eth self rep harpon or ceremonial javelin with 10+ias
kite shield 30/20 3s or eth rep kite shield 30/20 2sock socket with shael + max dmg jewel(s) 20+

inventory:
10x 3/xx/3frw scs
30x 3/xx/14-15life scs

rogue bow is not possible, since it get's lvl req 30 when it's upped :)

I agree with this, although I prefer evade since you will usually be moving.

Also, you can't put 20 into GA at level 30

I think so too but I thought it was preferance, so ...

lvl29 zon will only be able to put max 12 points into GA.

basically if you can: go for 4*shael + nef.
if you can't: go for 4*shael + 20/15 or similar

ah, i'd never heard that. pubs complain about knock back on occasion on melee duelers, but no one smart has ever complained vs a bowazon.

Would a lld 30 bowzon be considered high tier lld char? Assuming correct items and above average charms.

On euro the top lvl usually consists of 29's, on east and i do believe west, we go as far as lvl 30. Only real difference is where and with whom you play with i guess.

Okay, let's say I play against some of murder/cdm/you/spiffy's char. Would a zon have a chance? I'd have to imagine the bowzon still having an advantage over the many hdins as it does in mld/hld. Also, naturally a bowazon should be faster as she completely fills with frw/max/ar while most non teleporting chars get half of their inventory filled with frw. Good lld char or bad? my lld fury is going to be on break until I can afford better max/ar/lifers.

I have seen 8/10ths + bowzons do VERY well vs hammerdins. All things being equal, however, desynch from the hammerdins is still hard to overcome.

we had some 4v4 with two bowazons in the mix and much like HLD, they may have some tough matchups in 1v1, but they rock on teams. both the bowas were pretty good too. i made a lvl 30 bowa and was less than thrilled with her, but that was mainly because i cheaped out on her gear.

I used to have a fully decked out 29 zon on euro nl and found her to be very viable.

however I think if you cant afford a good inventory and good gear overall you better make other chars
